View Full Version : Another one of those 'which 32" widescreen' questions

I know this kind of question crops up fairly regularly, but I'm looking to buy a 32" widescreen television. Some of the models I've looked at seem quite new and hence unproven. I've essentially narrowed it down to these three (but as you see from below, I'm waivering a bit too);-

Toshiba 32Z13B - I've seen this priced as low as £690-00, including delivery and it got a good review in December 2001 issue of What Hi Fi (5 stars - For: Good picture, strong stereo sound, attractive styling. Against: Nothing significant. Verdict: A high quality tv for sensible money - well worth considering for your home cinema).

Panasonic TX32DK1 - £630-00. Seems well regarded generally, though not totally flat screen. Also appears to be in short supply.

Philips 32PW6006 - £545-00. Relatively inexpensive, new model. But is it any good?

Initially I was going to buy a 28 inch model, but decided this wasn't going to be a sufficient step up from my current tv. Hence I am having to stretch my budget a bit.

So any comments to help me narrow it down further or alternative makes/models that I should look at would be helpful. Budget under £700-00. I basically need a stand as well and decent if not exactly state of the art performance.

Thanks.

You really should get something with a totally flat screen it makes alot of difference.

That Toshiba you mentioned is very good, only drawback really is that it doesn't have 100Hz mode. You probably won't miss it unless your current TV does.
