I believe it is R1 as this contains an anamorphic version of Scream 2 unlike the R2 version. Avoid the R4 version like the plague - Scream is in 4:3 and also in Stereo only - urghh!

if you're after the three movies together, the R1 box set comes with an extra disc not found on other regions....

Theres also a Japanese "Directors Cut" available. But it costs £50 from most places. Im not sure what is special about it though.

R1 is the best version to go for.

The Director's Cut is also released in Denmark, not as a single DVD but with Scream 2 in a doublepack called Scream: The Collection.

Not anamorphic and only prologic sound, extras is:
Biografier,
"Behind The Scream" dokumentar (ca. 31 min.),
Outtakes (ca. 4 min.),
Screentests - Neve Campbell, Skeet Ulrich, Jamie Kennedy (total ca. 7 min.),
What's New In Scream - Director's Cut?,
Trailers

I don't have it, but there is a review here (http://www.dvdmagasinet.dk/anmeldelser/dvdM/screamdirectorscut.asp) (in danish).

It cost £23 at DVDoo (http://www.dvdoo.com/dvdoo/film.asp?Command=5418).

Just a word of wanring... The R1 didn't work in my Wharfedale 750S, so I had to plump with the R2 :(
