ive heard its a major problem with the engine and WS support wont be a easy step :( if thats the case though, surely 2142 wont have WS support either

Why does the 360 version support WS then? Same (basic) engine, shirley?

Been playing the 1.4 beta for a day or so.

Bit of a mixed bag, lots of bugs, glitches and odd content changes once more.
Some new browser bugs, medic exploits and CTD seem to be the order of the day with this beta.

However the new Jalalabad map is pretty good.

no idea, they admitted the problem themselves on their own forum so maybe you could ask there.

by the amazing amount of responce to this thread i take it alot of people have jumped off the BF2 wandbagon nowdays then?

jumped off and I been clean for a few months:) too many bugs, too much whining from the community and not enough decent content....but infantry only setting has interested me.

Call me part of the silent minority, i watch the totalbf2 forums purely to see what progress if any has been made on the patches, otherwise i just get on with playing the game as i'm just too far gone addiction-wise to stop playing.

The above comments about the beta patch certainly sound discouraging, but at least it's not the final version! It does sadden me though that BF2 has reached a point of seemingly no return whereby more bugs get introduced each time they try to patch it.
