I'm going and will be reviewing it for CD Times - really looking forward to it!

I went to their gig at the London Astoria in March and was pleasantly surprised by them, they definately put on a great show, playing all my favourite songs. My one pet peeve would be the emo ******* jumping up and down incessantly throughout the whole gig

Support by "Viva Voce". Never heard of them. I'll go around 8pm as the support acts does not interest me.

I live about 5 minutes walk from the Academy and I've never been to Nando's. Strange that.

Viva Voce rings a bell for some reason... I'll see if I can find some info on them, might be worth catching!

Any ideas on what time gigs at the Academy have been finishing recently? I need to get my train back out of Kings Cross at 11.15pm.

A Nando's before a gig in Brixton Academy is a ritual of mine, has been for years. Considering it's right across the road it's never actually that busy before the gigs (although having said that it will probably be ******* packed tonight).

Those anyone know if this gig is sold out?

I really like DCFC and would love to see them live, but last time I had the chance it was inconvieniant and the gig was something silly like £25. Oh, and Plans was a touch weak IMO.

Just got back from the gig. The ******* OC has a lot to answer for, I was about 10 years older than everybody there and none of th ekids knew any songs from their older albums.

Ben Gibbard is a ******* dynamo on stage the guy never stops moving.

Gibbard was superb. A great vocalist with an instantly recognisable voice. Enjoyed the gig and glad I went. Could have lasted longer though!!!!

'Twas a good gig - I'm with you stu_69, I was also 10 years older than anyone else! Felt very odd on the tube on the way back. Was kinda satisfying though that they didn't know the earlier songs :)

Agreed about Gibbard - the sweat pouring off him was amazing; he could do with a sweat band for the other hand too.

Great gig and finished in time for me to get my fast train back too! Result.
