Hi, I was just wondering if the Sony HTK 215 complete DTS, 5.1 complete set up is any good, i cant afford more than £350...
Is it worth getting?
Cheers
I too was interested in getting this... but if you don't mind forking out £350, you could get a fairly better amp + speakers compared to the HTK 215.
Try Pioneer's 510 amp and go huntin for speakers.
I would suggest looking at the Yamaha VS10 at Leconcepts (www.leconcepts.com) for £310 delivered if you are interested in these sort of amp and speaker setups.

I picked up the Sony HTK-475 for £329 at the Sony Centre in Cardiff about a month ago (store opening offer).
Try here (http://www.empiredirect.co.uk) and you'll see that you can get the HTK-215 for a shade over £280 and the 475 with £25 change from your budget.
I am very happy with the HTK-475, but I'm not an expert in these things and I'm sure that other people have sampled many different systems...
Hope this helps.
Paul.

The 475 does pack a punch (on paper that is), not sure how it really sounds in real life.

It's £266.99 from Unbeatable (http://www.unbeatable.co.uk) + postage (£6.50). :)
Not sure whether it'll help though..

Was looking for the HTK215 all over too online, everywhere were saying the same thing, no stock from sony... no firm dates. Ended up plumbing for the Sony HTK 475 for a few quid more, only place I could find online selling it from stock was www.robertwhyteltd.co.uk
I'm only a newbie in home cinema, but am well pleased with the preformance, decent to use as a CD amp as well. :)
