View Full Version : Is iTunes compatible with a Creative Nomad Jukebox
Any help?
I can't seem to find the song I downloaded on my Creative software to upload to my MP3 player, so I'm assuming that iTunes doesn't work with this?
Am I right?

Correct, unfortunately, iTunes is only compatible with Apple's iPod range :(

Not quite, this (http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=93548) might help. Don't know if the compatibility extends to a Windows machine though, worth a shot anyway?

I'm sorry but I fail to see your point, that page clearly states that protected AAC files (of which 99.9% of iTunes files are) are only compatible with iPod's.
There is a way to to go - burn the files to CD then rip them back to MP3 but that is time consuming and you also lose some quality converting one lossy format to another.

I didn't realise, I thought the OP meant iTunes in general, not iTMS files exclusively.

I'm amazed any one uses I tunes. Over priced and in a blooming awful audio format no wonder those Russians have the 2nd most popular music download site in England.

I can think of much worse alternatives to iTunes though... and whats wrong with 79p a track?

No worries - was just confused by your post :)
iTunes is one of the better legal download sites IMO. AAC is a much better format than WMA (which always sounds to heavy on the treble for my liking - too bright) and 79p per track is not that bad for the odd single.

Loads! It works out dearer than buying the full CD and you can't even play the thing on more than two machines.
bargin!
Thanks everyone. I did think that was the case, it's a bit rubbish really isn't it, you'd think that Apple are cutting off a huge swathe of potential customers.
Oh well I can't download that exclusive Duran Duran live track then!
Any suggestions of anywhere else that's good?
