View Full Version : Jeepers Creepers problems
My copy freezes at the copyright info. Anybody else had any problems? My player is a Pioneer DV545.
You'll have infinite more problems once you've watched it.
I shall be recieving Jeepers Creepers in a few days and I have the same player as you. I hope it isn't a problem with the player as I was looking forward to watching it. I shall update you on any problems when I try it out.

While we're on the subject, has anyone found any Easter Eggs?
Back of the DVD says there's "Deleted & Extended Scenes", "6 Mini Featurettes", "Photo Gallery", "Original Theatrical Trailer" "and more" - can't figure what the "and more" is, unless it means the trailers for Hannibal, Carrie, Silence Of The Lambs and Terminator.
It locks you out of chapter select all the way through the disc, so I haven't been able to check for hidden extras that way, but the "and more" made me think there might be something hidden. Can't find anything on the menus on the second side of the DVD... haven't checked the film side yet.

No, it isn't 'that' bad - it's actually a damn good stupid horror film with some genuine shocks.

I'll order it then :D ;)
Good horror? Watchable, but after the beginning which has a lot of promise, it just goes completely off the rails..........not enough "edge of your seat" stuff either.

The film probably takes itself too seriously for its own good, which after the opening 45 minutes might throw viewers off when things start getting increasingly strange in the second half.
Afterall, the film could have been a straight to video Mimic type clone, when you just look at its basic premise. It's probably this, which comes to the fore in the second half of the film, that causes some viewers to dislike the film. I wasn't all that impressed with the finale in terms of the plot taken alone, but the cinematography is excellent.
From what I remember there is a good 30-45 minutes of build up and then, it goes all ******.

it goes very bad I must admit.
From the first 40 minutes it acts like Psycho or The Exorcist with its creepy build up but then we find something out about the main villan of the piece which absolutely insults anyone who watches it.
Its as if the writers thought ....... "we have wrote 40 minutes of compelling creepiness but what the hell do we do now?"
*swithces on Buffy the Vampire Slayer*
"oh yeah! I'l do something like that"
crap.
The first 45 mins aren't good. Very average, if that. It is very slow and the 2 people involved are the most stupid people I've ever seen. However the first half is infinite more times better than the second, which is why this is the worst film I've ever seen.

Got this through from ********* a couple of days ago. The first half is okay with reasonable tension....I fell asleep during the second half - that's a sure sign of a bad movie.

I got mine from ringos yesterday, won't play for me either.
Gets as far as choose widescreen/fullscreen and locks the player (a Sony 525) :(
First time it's failed to play a disc for me :(
Anyway, only thing I've noticed are two what look like air bubbles on the outside of the disc, anyone else have them?
Not seen them on any other discs before :(
Guess there's a faulty batch then?!

If you mean the playing surface.
Thats is because the disc is a DVD-14.
Dual layer one side and single layer on the other side.

Works fine on my Pioneer 636D.

no joy on my pioneer 444,anyone got any ideas how to get round it?

Plays fine on my Pioneer 717.
Sounds like a batch of faulty discs - I see a possible recall on the cards...
Suggestions: Try to access 'Title 1' before the disc locks.
You could send it back to retailer in the hope you get a disc that isn't in the bad batch pile. However, if the discs are all the same and the problem universally affects certain makes/models of players then await the distributor's recall and then claim a new disc.
same as r.griffiths, Sony 735 - plays fine. (phew)

For those have got "working" copies of the disc where did you get them from? Is it just one supplier which may have a dodgy batch.
Just Call Me Wanda

My 'working' disc came from RingOs. On inspection, my disc doesn't have any noticeable marks, such as the air bubbles mentioned by Nicola so it does look like a bad batch.

Anyone with a bad copy notice anything resembling air bubbles on the disc?
I see there's also a thread on the avforums about this.
Didn't notice any air bubbles, mine works ok. Got it from *********.
