Is any one on the T-Mobile (http://www.thedvdforums.com/jump2.php?url=http://valuemobiles.at/thedvdforums) Flex plans? I signed up for one last night and this morning am thinking can I get a better deal on another network and now looking at the other providers the T-Mobile offers looks too good to be true. They are giving me a Sony 810i for free dropping the line rental by five months for the length of the contract (which unfortunately is 18 months) and making my allowance £200.

I simply can not believe that there is a plan giving anytime any network that many minutes, texts and mms or any combination of these to the value of £200 every month. What is the catch what am I missing even cross network charges after using up your allowance is 20p?

no, does what it says on the tin.

I got one with the 20% off line rental for life and has of yet, had not had to pay any extra on my bill and haven't been conciously making timings of the calls I make or the amount of text messages.

it's great.

I'm a new customer to the T-Mobile Flext plan

£30 a month up to 450 mins and up to 900 texts a month. To use how you wish! I think it's pretty good myself :)

I wish I wasn't tied into Orange as the T-Mobile plans are superb.

Roll on December

I take it that these Flex plans are anytime and cross network?

yep. You just get a monthly "allowence" that you can use for whatever you want (apart from data). Makes soo much sense really.

currently doing an extra £20 allowance per month for life offer on the 25 and 35 plans (offer might be online (http://www.thedvdforums.com/jump2.php?url=http://valuemobiles.at/thedvdforums) only) :)

They will match it on the phone as I mentioned this to them last night, apart from being locked in for 18 months there seems to be no other cons with this plan. Is the Sony 810i a good phone? I normally opt for a Nokia but thought I would try something new.

I was just looking at this £25 and you get a £80 allowance, seems like a good deal....except 18 month contract....

Is this what most companies are doing now ?

Yeh there seem to be a lot of 18 month contract around now, but if the saving is so good I don't mind, although that means having to wait longer for a new handset.

Indeed - Dialaphone (http://www.thedvdforums.com/jump2.php?url=http://www.dgm2.com/m/dial/t.asp?A=33130&I=51) have some great cashback deals as well - if you're not fussy about the phone, you can get the £35 / month plan with 18 months half price rental, and a Motorola Razr (the basic model). It actually works out cheaper than the best deal they have on the £30 / month tariff!

what makes u say that? it's still on the t-mobile website?

I'm on flext35 and agree its a great tariff....especially when u get 50% staff discount :-)

The other thing i like is the mytmobile are of the t-mobile site which lets u view your account balance, recent calls. Best of all you can send text messages online and it's deducted from you flext allowance!

its certainly the best value tarriffs for customers wanting a new contract - but what really is off putting is the 18 month contract - i suppose all the networks are standardising this now though :(

Some great deals to be had on O2 though if you are an existing customer - but their billing is horrendous.

Does the tariff include video calls?

Resurrecting an old thread here. Can anyone tell me what happens when you use up your monthly allowance? Are you chaged extra? What happens when you don't use up your allowance? Does it roll over?

Are these plans still attractive today as 9 months ago?

Thanks

No roll over, anything over the allowance are charged at normal rates.

Thanks simonmac; T-Mobile shop in town confirmed as much. Shame really but still seems to be a good offer with 25% discount on 18 month contracts

I started the thread all those months ago and have yet to go anywhere near my £200 alloance I must make about £30 worth of calls and texts a month so quite a good deal although I am getting the phone upgrade itch now and still have another nine or so months to go on my contract.

I'm on flext 35 and web and walk. Been great (and not paid any extra) since I joined last year, have come close to my allowance a couple of months though! Think I had about £10 left last month (from £180!) which is a bit worrying... I try not to get through more than £45 in a week as I know that I'm likely to go over then. I am stuck home with a broken ankle tho so am using my mobile more and finding more time to than I usually do...
