View Full Version : In The Flesh Live - Roger Waters
N E 1 got this DVD yet ?
Most sites are quoting it has "stereo" but I have also read a review about the "really good 5.1 sound" ???
Any help greatfully accepted as I feel a post christmas purchase coming :D
Should receive my copy in the next few days, hopefully. But from what I've read on different Floyd/Waters sites the DVD has awesome 5.1 audio as well as a fantastic anamorphic widescreen picture.

According to Play 247, this title has been put back to the 15th of January 2002.
TimK - Thanx muchly - I have ordered it now (£12.99 @ future ent)
The set looks really good so I would have had in stereo anyway!!
Hopefully Sony will get their fingers out & get some PF out this year - Pulse would do nicely thank you very much if your reading this :D

I would have thought Roger Waters is better doing Roger Waters music rather than Gilmour and some drummer doing poor rehashes and sub standard new Floyd.
/me loves an arguement.

Got mine from Amazon this morning (I had a $10 GF), and a superb presentation it is too.
Nice 16.9 widescreen picture, excellent 5.1 sound, great songs, great musicians (including Andy Fairweather Low and Snowy White), 170 minutes of pure pleasure including a 30 minute rockumentary.
Thought they made a little bit of a mess of Set the Controls for Heart of the Sun (I like my early Floyd to be like spaced out, uh, man), but, hey, I'll get used to it.
Waters is simply quite, quite fabulous; one of the best musicians and lyricists of his generation.
So good I've just booked to see the man himself; June 22 at the MEN Arena.

I have become comfortably numb...
Yeah Pulse and Live at Pompeii (The Barrett DOcumentary would be a great extra)are long overdue on DVD, Gilmour has ****** me off recently, he doesn't seem to give a monkeys about Pink Floyd fans.
Where is the MEN arena and where else is Roger playing?.
Is the R1 release 16:9? They marked it as 4:3 in Amazon.com... However at http://www.rogerwaters.net there is a note for "widecreen TV owners" :)

Definitely (a very good) widescreen presentation; MEN Arena is in Manchester; Waters is also playing a couple of Wembley dates.

So you run and you run to catch up with the sun, but it's sinking...
