Strategy games like Starcraft

Anything new like Starcraft out recently ? Something Sci-Fi or modern weapons ?

Rise of legends was recently released. Haven't played it though due to the bad reviews.

For a truely great RTS try Rise of Nations with the expansion pack.

Best RTS release since Age of kings imo.

Starcraft is an RTS. There are thousands of them :)

Age of Kings is an ace game but its not as 'land grabbing' based as starcraft is. In fact I think Rise of Nations, mentioned above, is probably the only other RTS I can think of where you have to land grab. Most of them tend to have you building up armies to defend one base of which Red Alert 2 is my fav.

For futuristic you could try that recent warhammer: dawn of war game, which now I think about is also based around occupying land.

Rise of Legends is superb. As is Dawn of War. Dawn has a very Sci Fi feel to it, Rise is slightly more fantasy based although takes a very steampunk approach to technology.

Both are well worth checking out, if you ask me.

They arent new, but are cheap, and are my favorite RTS games, the Homeworld games can be picked up for £5 each.

Act of War is an OK Modern RTS.

Ground Control Series are Future RTS games. I got the first one + the mission/expansion disk from play for £5 at the start of the year (its available for free to DL from massive's website.)

Dawn of War was excellent ... did not think much of the addo n pack winter assault.... thanks will take a butchers at Rise and Fall
