View Full Version : O2 - Ffs
N80 came out in May.
O2 said they would have it 1st June.
Then 15th June.
No just been told it's 1st July.
Anyone else frustrated.
Think i'm gonna move to orange!

Why get frustrated over something as trivial as waiting on a new mobile phone? A car maybe, get overcharged on your bill, sure.
It could be that there is a problem with the phone on this network. Better to sort it now rather then let you get frustrated when it doesn't work properly.
Not worth getting into a Flap over.

Lay off him, he's just upset he can't show off his new Crazy Frog Football ringtone.
 @ Harsin and KRW :D
I agree with Splobber though, why bother? It may be Nokia causing the problem not O2, in fact that is more likely as O2 surely want to start selling it ASAP to make money? I've been waiting for the E61 to come out for months, and that's only just starting to come out. Was delayed with software problems but I'd rather they sort it out now than me have to RMA my phone. I had one of the very first (e.g. first 10 or so) Nokia 7110's and although it was a very trendy phone (at the time) it was full of bugs and had to be replaced a few times, in hind sight I should have waited for it to be out a while.

um....I phoned them Tuesday, N80 phone arrived Yesterday!...
New customer or upgrade?
Ok, it's not life or death. It's just a minor frustration. If everyone on the forums (including myself) could come up with an example of something more important (hopefully the death of a family member) that would be helpful. ;)

Like i said, it's just a minor annoyance. I'm not claiming this is the most important thing in my life :)

;/ No!
Kryten, I don't care whose fault it is, I just want a new phone, bored of my old one, and want N80. And other networks have it, including carphonewarehouse on O2...

And I thought it was just me. :suspect:
I don't get the obsession with having the latest mobile phone which has loads of features that you'll probably never use although for some reason it seems to be important to have a phone that is better then the next persons.
OK, I've had a mobile since the early 90's (not exactly brimming with features then mind you) and I get what I can come upgrade time, but stress out over a delay of a phone while I still have the use of one which makes exactly the same telephone calls? Nah.

I go for whatever phone o2 throw at me, I work with mobile phones and they are so dull.
I have a W800i at the moment, does the walkman function ever get used? Does it ****. I do get the urge when im drunk to take photos with my mobile but 98% of phones have cameras.
And pretty much every phone I have owned has gone faulty so bugger it!!

I bought the W800i because my ipod packed up... still use it on loud speaker when I'm in the kitchen etc etc :)
And it's not about the latest mobile... well it is but it's about a NEW TOY!!! :) Getting all excited over the fact that there's a new toy to play with when you get home... it's sad but it's true... it's like that one good movie release you just have to go and see even though you know the first 2 of the series said it all before.... :D
I just use a phone as a phone (I have a 6230 and use it only for phone calls and occasional text messages). I want the E61 to replace my blackberry which I am addicted to (really earns the term CrackBerry with me :| ), but only so I can merge to one device. Apart from that a phone should be just that I think!

I got a N80 on upgrade today at about 8.05 am at work ordered it after being told the same as you! May then the 5th June then the 15 th. So hopefully with the 1-2 working days delivery I should get it Monday all being well. Give them another call. At first they refused to believe I was a customer - I have been for 5 years now.

The N80 is a brick... My mate was raving about his, then got it... the battery life is crap, and it's a hefty lump. I'd rather take the current Samsung one that's the size of a credit card... I'd prefer if it was smaller and didn't have a camera phone mind.
