Best part of Lord of the Rings (slight spoiler)

Saw Lord of the Rings last week. By far the best part for me was when Bilbo see's the Ring around Frodo's neck and "monsters out". Not particulartly because it was cool , though it WAS, but because the two little girls who had been sat in front of me talking all the way through the film went hysterical and had be be taken out by their parents. :D

Aye. Freaked me out slightly since I wasn't expecting it. The missus jumped a mile and the woman sitting next to us just kept muttering to herself 'horrible .. that was horrrrrrrrrible'

the best one was the elf guy (can't remember name, sorry) who could just fire of arrow after arrow with pin point accuracy really quickly!

I thought the Bilbo bit was great but unfortunately the idiots at UGC Enfield all burst out laughing, which rather spoiled the effect.

same here, great effect and addition, especially considering when you know what Gollum used to be, and it isn't in the book (as far as i can remember).. i wish they had like a showing where only fans of the books were allowed to watch - then stupid spanners wouldn't be laughing at moments you think cool, :(

Agreed mate....especially in the last battle where the orc got to close so he just stabbed him in the eye with the half drawn arrow then put that arrow back in the bow and shot the other orc behind him....superb...Legolas i want to be you....

i agree with hardnox about the arrow and legolas but the Boromir fight scene where he just keeps on getting up is wicked and probably better than the arrow scene..

Legolas...muwaaahhhaaaa. I just loved it when he drew is bow :D :nuts: :D . So he'd have to be my favourite part.

As for scenes:

When the hobbits are hiding from the blackrider under the tree roots and the Black Rider sneaks up on them. Freaked me out in the book, animation and new film!

Totally disagree, the Bilbo eye popping was the WORST scene in the entire film.

It completely ruined what should have been a subtle and important moment where Frodo sees how keen Bilbo is to get the ring back.

It was only put in to make people jump, (which it did).

On the other scene being discussed, I couldn't agree more, I LOVED Legolas and his arrows!
