having just purchased The Shank "dolby surround" for £7 in HMV.. i was wondering whether they'll be a special edition with all the bells and whistles..
there surely must be plans for more extras on a future re-release, perhaps a director's commentary.. and there must be deleted scenes or alternative takes?

it's not the greatest film in the world, but i like it (and that's reason enough for my purchase decision today - oh, that and the cheap price helped!). I know a lot of people dont find it that great a movie, but i find the story particularly uplifting.

so, does anyone have any details or has anyone heard any rumours about an up-and-coming disc?

well as long as this version of the dvd is selling so well, why should the manufacturers bring out a new one?

once sales for this slow down or stop, I am sure they will bring one out.

It was selling like mad on Play247 before the sale prices in the high-street shops!

good point which i'd not considered. but surely not every S.E comes out because the original disc stops selling? or is that just insanely naive on my behalf? i was kinda hoping that someone gives the disc a reworking just for their love of the movie..

Isn't that reason enough for them to do an SE ..... because the film is so popular ??
Think how many they'd sell if there was a Special Edition ?
