The only problem I can see is the difference in connections. The amp takes that standard pc connection, i'm not sure what it is called, but my amp puts out the low frequency with a PHONO connection.
Can I buy a phono to pc cable?
you mean a 3.5mm headphone jack?
doesn't that mean there will be 2 amps? What sub do yo uhave for the PC. I think that most PC subs won't last long when plugged into a proper hifi/hc amp.

a creativeworks four point surround sound sub. i think it's pretty good....and it would meet my power needs. what do u mean it wouldn't last very long?
Actually, ignore what I said before, it should work if you connect it to the amp (preout), but not sure how they will match with your mains.
You can get a headphone jack to phono from somwhere like maplins

what do you mean match with the mains?
the sub output is preout and the sub is active so it should work shouldnt it?
i have just found a headphone to phono lead, but there is a white and red connection. Can i use either of them, will this work?
you're right it will work.
I mean match as in the power difference between the mains and the PC sub. If you have something like massive floorstanders, it will overpower the sub output. Subs usually take a lot more power than any other speaker in the setup.
