Anyone got any experience of B grade stock from Maplin? I'm about to buy some networking kit from there and it's marginally cheaper for a "b" grade version. Still got 12 months warranty and not worried about any minor cosmetic issues, any one got any experience?
You must be mad buying recon network stock from a retailer (if you don't know why you'll find out maybe).
Buying recon network stock from the manufacturer is different as they test the stuff. The most Maplin (or any retailer would do) is to check it powers up.

I was thinking exactly the opposite - ie most of the returns will be people buying in error thinking it contained an asdl modem thus returning to Maplins without really using it when they can't get ti to work with their broadband connection at home. Looking at the web page all the questions re the product are from people that seem to have very little understanding about networking so I figured that would account for the vast majority of returns
Maplin's do free returns (you can even take the stuff back to a local shop) so you've nothing lose.
