Hi,

I'm looking to get back into playing golf this summer, and I want to get some new golf irons. I'm probably a below average player (scored around 95 normally), and only want to spend up to about £150.

Is ebay my best best (I don't mind going 2nd hand), or can anyone recommend a good online supplier. Also, can anyone recommend a good set for someone of my standard? The only one's I've seen that I think might be okay are the Wilson Deep Red's for £150 (new).

A visit to http://www.golfmagic.com/ would be a good place to start and they have a list of most decent online golf retailers in the left hand column. hth

I wish I was the average golfer, I started playing regular last year and have yet to break 100.. should have done a couple of weeks ago but scored an 11 on the last hole to finish on 103

I posted in the thread in the sports forum about the Wilsons, its a great price but i'm not sure about those or the RAM complete package for £199. I'm leaning towards the RAMs purely because i have held them. The Wilsons bought be a blind purchase and i'm not sure thats a good idea.

I'm going to try out the RAMs again tomorrow and see how they feel.

I would also suggest visiting some local stores that do trade in's. Generally you can then try before you buy as these places will let you take them out for a few days first and this way your getting something you know your going to be happy with rather than a blind buy.

Good Luck!
