With Mobile Rainbow (http://www.thedvdforums.com/jump2.php?url=http://scripts.affiliatefuture.com/AFClick.asp?affiliateID=17278&merchantID=896&programmeID=2912&mediaID=0), have to go through to the moroloa pages, then select the V3, then down the bottom is the Relax 35 offer with t-mobile.
£35 a month on a 12 month contract, but get it all refunded.
I have no idea what mobile rainbow is like for cashback, so i got
Carphone Warehouse (http://www.thedvdforums.com/jump2.php?url=http://tracker.tradedoubler.com/pan/TrackerServlet?p=443&a=60823&g=162274) to price match it, which they did (you have to go through the link below, they call you back within 24 hours (well 28 in my case). Got the call at 5.30 last night, they attempted to deliver the phone 9am today.
Carphone Warehouse - click on this for the price match page (http://www.thedvdforums.com/jump2.php?url=http://tracker.tradedoubler.com/pan/TrackerServlet?p=443&a=60823&g=162274&url=http://www.carphonewarehouse.com/commerce/servlet/gben-server-PageServer?ARTICLE=MAIN.UK.INTERNET.STATIC.MAILERS.PMGUARANEE.MAIN)
Will the carphone Warehouse match this deal ?

great if they match the cashback and everything. Much less likely to go bye bye than a smaller retailer
cjanderson

as stated above, yes they did match it.
The chap on the phone said he had also gone for it. Was the first really good non 3 deal i saw (as exisitng phone is with 3 and didn't want to have to port the number twice to keep the same number)
What a shame it's T ...hardly picks up where I am :brickwall

First time I've come across this carphone price match. Its brilliant. If you have a look around, you'll find some small retailers offering crazy deals, but your never how trustworthy they are...so if CPW can price match, you can pick up some real bargains!

V3i and V3 can be had for free if you take a look at http://www.*********************/ and check out their links at the mo with 12 months refunded to you on months 6 and 12 iirc.

Nice link that Matt for comparison shopping on phone deals.
Top info CJ on the price match from CPW. My current deal has about 2 months left to run. Looks like there are some good deals to be had if you know where to look. ;) These forums are a blessing.

Tempting. Does anyone know if it would be possible to move an existing PAYG Orange number onto this price-matched contract via the Carphone Warehouse?

They pay £20 for anyone who you refer and places an order.
I couldn't spot this scheme on cpw website.
I know of at least 2 other people who would take up this offer.

well you'd lose any sort of referal income.
But the worry i had was over the stability of the companies doing these cashback scehemes. Carphone Warehouse (http://www.thedvdforums.com/jump2.php?url=http://tracker.tradedoubler.com/pan/TrackerServlet?p=443&a=60823&g=162274) has at least been around for a ages and has a manjor high street presence.
We've seen quite a few internet only retailers go under recently, and then your stuck with a £35 a month contract and have to pay it for 12 months.
i though ensuring i did get the £360 cashback was more important than £20 or so incentive.

If carphonewarehouse will match deals then check out
EDIT: Checked and not allowed to post because its full of affiliate links
loads of 12month line rental deals listed there. Not heard about a lot of the websites but if CPW will match then great
i've spoken to CS in E2save, she agreed me to price match. But i was looking for pink one which is not avaibale on the t-mob network
Sent two price match enquiries yesterday, one for me one for my partner...nothing back as yet...anyone elase get a price match (mind you bet 99% of the phones listed are not in stock!)
All price matches are at the discretion of The Carphone Warehouse...in T&C's...no chance then with some of the deals advertised.
Do you get the cashback cheque at the end of the contract or is it in stages?

That's obvious. I think the question is, since this is a price match, will CPW make the cashback claims procedure exactly the same as the original deal.
Shouldn't the question be...will CPW make the pricematch...'cos they're not making mine.

don't think so, the thing they sent me refers to a table, and i think i claim under 4th, 8th and 12th. Shall clarify on Monday as my invoice doesn't mention the tarriff i am on.
So i think you claim under CPW cashback timetables, rather than the person who is being matched. which is fair enough.

Has anyone here had experience of Mobile Rainbow cashback, either good or bad? I've had a pretty smooth ride with Mobileshop but still a bit wary of other companies.
E2save cash back will be in 3 stages, but they will price match in most cases
Do you get the cashback cheque at the end of the contract or is it in stages?
The LG U880 on the front page of rainbow looks better. It's the same line rental but you get 400/250 free mins/txt but also 25/25/5 free video mins/video messages/content download and even better, it takes MiniSD so you should be able to use it as a MP3 player and possible a video player. The calls are also cheaper should you go over your minutes/contract
I had a look through a couple of mobile rainbow's deals last week ... full cashback on T-mobile's relax 35 available on a few nice phones (phones free too) - at least one of the samsung slide phones and the sony flip, i was checking each phone's deals 1 at a time (didn't come up with a faster method) so a bit tedious and I didn't get very far.
Just got my call from CPW - matched the offer, phone with me tomorrow.

If this comes off, how easy is it to get her current "3" number ported over to a T-Mobile phone? (sorry if this is a dumb question, but I've never done it before).
The Mobile Rainbow (http://www.thedvdforums.com/jump2.php?url=http://scripts.affiliatefuture.com/AFClick.asp?affiliateID=17278&merchantID=896&programmeID=2912&mediaID=0) site doesn't list the V3 on Relax 35 any more, it seems - but if you choose V3(black) it's still there.

glad its working for other people, i have been watching the cashback deals for ages, just not wanting to go for a non well known name.

I had a play with mine (the V3 i mean :n0rty: ) when it came friday, but not too much as i still have the 3 contract until mid June and can;'t port my number over until end of that.
It seems okay, i could send a text okay, the keys not tooo bad (i was worried as they are flat). The HELLO MOTO sound MUST GO!!!!!!!! but could not work out how to change. seems super sleek. not played the games yet.
Gundo, i got the call saying OK madam at 5,30 thursday, phone was with me 9am Friday (well would have been if i';d been at home) so it was quick. they cocked up and sent it to home Friday rather than work Monday as requested but luckily initial city link depot is only 10 mins cycle from me.
glad to share some free line rental goodness round the forums :)

I've got a T-mobile contract running out mid June as well and would be interested in moving my number to one of the price matched contracts mentioned in this thread via the CPW, but when porting a number over, do you have to start the new contract straight away (presumably with a brand new number temporarily) and thus have to pay for both contracts for a few weeks until the old one ends and the number is ported, or can you time the new contract to begin as the other one ends?
cjanderson

well my contract with 3 ends mid June
And new one with tmobile started Friday.
so i won;t be using new phone for a few weeks, i was just impatient to get a good deal :dork:
so have to pay for 2 (well not pay, its all reclaimed anyway)
and will port when 3 contract ends (not sure i can do before that as then that would end the contract before the 12 months were up.
you can;t really time the new contract to start at some future point, you'd have to just wait and order the phone later on. The Carphone Warehouse (http://www.thedvdforums.com/jump2.php?url=http://tracker.tradedoubler.com/pan/TrackerServlet?p=443&a=60823&g=162274) price match thing has been there a while so should still be happening in a few weeks.
Have now also put in for this and I already have my PAC code from BT Mobile who couldn't offer anything of interest to keep me (other than their normal offers). So awaiting cpw to call me back to get this moving.
i know the guy in cpw (shop) told me the V3 wasn't a good phone - could i put the sim in my d500 unlocked phone and use it?

Anyone know if I could add the £7.50 web & walk bundle to this without it affecting the cashback? i.e. still get the £35 per month back and only have to pay the £7.50 per month.
Carphone Warehouse agreed to pricematch but I've failed the credit check with T-Mobile. I've never been refused credit in my life. I've never missed a payment on anything and don't have any outstanding loans (other than my mortgage). Has this happened to anyone else? I've applied for my credit report with Equifax to make sure there is nothing dodgy going on with my credit history.

Just got another phone from CPW. Submitted about 10 price match requests and they offered me a W550i. Apparently you can only get 2 phones per quarter so I'm happy with my new V3 and W550 heading for eBay. The T-Mobile 500 mins and Orange OVP O2 200 min contracts will probably end up going to my mum and sister as I barely use the phone!

I got a 3 contract from the Link with full cashback that ends mid June, but I requested my PAC yesterday because that gives 30 days notice of cancellation. So when I get a new phone (possibly this one), number will take 7 days to transfer over, but my 3 contract will continue until 30 days from yesterday. That way I fulfil my obligations on my existing contract and hence the cashback claim will work, and I will only have 10 days or so of "overlap".
Does everyone agree this will work fine?
Thanks to the Op. After the 5th attempt they called me and matched on V3 black. The guy said he was going to order one as well after seeing the deal.
I only did the request at 5pm yesterday and not heard from them yet - how long did people leave it before putting another internet request thru?

Carphone Warehouse (http://www.thedvdforums.com/jump2.php?url=http://tracker.tradedoubler.com/pan/TrackerServlet?p=443&a=60823&g=162274) booklet,l just some page showing an adress and where to send stuff/on what dates. Not sure its more than that, though should re-read it.
the invoice is a bit vague as to the contract, but i got onto my t-mobile site and the contract is as agreed. However, they was a £1,99 charge for something, and i need to work out what that is (was before vat). So may be charging for itemised billing, which will annoy me (but thats £1.50inc vat i think)
Andrew70
24-05-2006, 12:56
They give you one month's complimentary insurance (Lite, band 3) but unless you cancel it will be charged for from month two onwards.
The example bill shown on the T-mobile site explains that you are always billed one month in advance so it could be the second month insurance?
Do you receive a second batch of paperwork by mail, separate to what comes in the package with the phone?
cjanderson
24-05-2006, 13:00
could be the insurance, but just shows with the description "recurring charge".
who gives you the insurance? t-mobile? hard to know who you have a contract with, my contract with CPW def did not specify insurance.
And the phone number i have had appears to be recycled, already had 2 calls when the phone is not on and 1 answer phone message. Though that won;t matter when number is ported over.
Andrew70
24-05-2006, 13:14
When I was called the guy made a point of saying that they wouldn't match the 3 months insurance that the rainbow place was offering and that it would be only 1 month from CPW. I asked if I had to cancel it if I didn't want it to continue after that first month and he said yes.
The invoice paperwork out of the phone parcel has a line that reads:
WEB LITE BAND 3, £0.00
*Cost of cover includes quarterly Admin Fee GBP 6.25 + Premium GBP 14.79
I'm assuming that is the insurance that the guy referred to.
CPW uses New Technology Insurance for their cover and their T&Cs make reference to a certificate which I (again) presume will be sent out in due course.
T&Cs 8.10b includes:
You may cancel the policy during the period of up to 14 days from the date shown on the letter of acceptance we send you. You will not have to pay a cancellation charge and we will refund any premium you have paid, as long as you have not made any claim during the 14 days.
Thinking long term, I had a look around the CPW site and couldn't find anything definitive that covered cancelling a monthly contract. T-Mobile's site just has a generic 'Call us and let us convince you to stay' type message.

My phone arrived this morning... so I've got the PAC from 3* and will have the number over on T-Mobile in 7 days apparently :)
Regarding the cashback - it's the usual CPW terms, which I confirmed in my phone call yesterday. You send them a copy of bills 4, 8 and 12 (photocopies are OK) along with the little voucher thing (you can get them from any shop if you didn't get one with the phone) and they send you a cheque back. They've always been prompt with this in the past, IME.
Actually, I've just read the booklet and there's no mention of the vouchers - so they must have stopped bothering with them. Make sure that you write on the bill your new number if you ported an old one across - otherwise they'll get very confused.
*I had to say "no thanks" a lot to the hard sell - they seem to think a 1/2 price offer for a few months is better than 12 months free

I put in a request this morning at 11ish and had a call from a guy called Neil at 1.30. They have agreed to match the deal with no prbblems, the only bit is the insurance will be only 1 month instead of the 3 offered by Mobile Rainbow (http://www.thedvdforums.com/jump2.php?url=http://scripts.affiliatefuture.com/AFClick.asp?affiliateID=17278&merchantID=896&programmeID=2912&mediaID=0) which is fine by me as I don't want the insurance anyway :D

I think that was the same guy I got a call from and an email shortly after confirming it all, Niel Koegeleneerg ? Seemed like he was on the ball anyway and he did say yesterday that the department was swamped, he said they were going to take the price match link down until they were caught up. Just waiting for them to ring the wife at work now for the same deal.

I also asked not to bother with the free insurance, as i cant be bothered going through the hassle some people have in cancelling it.

Sounds about right, the e-mail I received said :
Your order was for the Motv3i with the relax 35, 12 month contract. In order to recieve your 12 months free line rental you need to send in your 4th, 8th and 12th bill to the following adress:
Chequebacks
The Carphone Warehouse
P.O. BOX 4259
Wednesbury

Note the e-mail says V3i ! I doubt it will be but you never know......
got home last night to a message on my answering machine (why didn't he phone back on mobile pft!) anyway forgot to bring number here so used the name above - think it's the same person - and now awaiting a call again. He said all was ok and just needed my porting info etc to get it all done and sent to me.

get the PAC from vodaphone and once you receive t-mobile phone / contract, you have to call t-mobile CS to do number porting

Random responses to a coupla questions asked:
The V3 is, without a shadow of a doubt, one of the most unreliable phones I've ever had the misfortune of both owning and selling. You should seriously consider getting rid of the phone asap. The 6280 is a MUCH better phone, if a little on the slow side due to its Symbian software.
With regard to the insurance, your best bet is to simply cancel the direct debit with your bank.
deady2001
27-05-2006, 21:52
I've actually found the V3 surprisingly ok, albeit with the OLD software. However, my new Nokia N70 is sooooooo slow with the Symbian software.
While cancelling direct debit will stop them getting your money, it doesn't always end your contract, so you could end up owing. Best to refuse it when you first order the phone.

nice one. What i'll do, like i did with the last deal was remember to bump the thread in 4 months time, so we all remember our cashback - it'll be in the suppliers forum by then (well maybe, pricematch is an ongoing thing) so set up an email alert to the thread and then your reminded about the cashback :)
I sent off 2 price requests Yesterday ione for the V3 and one for 6280. I'm hoping I get one of them cause my contract actually expired friday. Then hopefully its just a case if getting my PAC code and waiting about a week for my number to be transfered.

Yup - thats it - Ts&Cs state:-
How do I cancel my insurance policy?
Please note that if you do cancel your policy, your handset will no longer be covered against the major eventualities that your policy covers (such as theft, loss and damage). You should also be aware that you will not be able to re-purchase insurance on your existing handset if you do cancel your insurance.
You may cancel your Lifeline™ policy within 14 days of purchase without penalty and we will provide a full refund providing you haven't made a claim during the 14 days. After 14 days, you may cancel the policy at any time but we will not refund any proportion of premium that you have paid. To cancel your policy, please call us on 0870 111 7000 or e-mail Lifeline@cpw.co.uk.
Please note that if your policy is paid for by Direct Debit then the cancellation of payment is organised by The Carphone Warehouse. If the policy is paid for by standing order, you will need to cancel the standing order yourself as The Carphone Warehouse is unable to do this.

If it costs them, why provide the deal?
Grrrrrr phoned up CPW Vodafone today to ask for my PAC code but was told I have to ask for it in writing. Moaned about it to them telling them I'm taking another deal with CPW but no use. They did say once they recieve the letter they will SMS and/or mail the PAC code within 48 hrs.
They mentioned this was in the original terms and conditions of my mobile contract. Anyhow letter send today hopefully get the PAC before Saturday to being the Port process.
Something to think about in 12 months time though when this deal comes to an end as it'll probably be the same process.

Did everyone else on relax35 get mms free?
My question is this. When sending mms, picture messages, even if i get free ones every month, do you still pay for the kb transfer, or connection for sending the data?

Eventually got through to t-mobile after 20 mins, and was told the 5 are introductory, not every month!

does anyone have a number for the price match department i have requested a price match twice this week and have not got any phone calls.
I requested a price match, got a call on Wednesday, they agreed the deal, did a credit check, took money from my credit card (another security check) and then said the phone would be delivered Wednesday.
Missus waited in all day Thursday - no phone. I sent an email last night, got a reply this morning, "sorry we cant do the deal now" !!!
I am EXTREMELY unhappy as the deal is now no longer on the site, so I cant even get it from the original people anyway.
I have spoken to someone in that team this morning, and they will "look into it, and call me back on Monday" !!!!

The offer was never on the CPW web site. However, it is still available from mobile rainbow.
Remember, you need to click motorola, then v3 (black), NOT V3.

If they have taken money surely they are obligated to honour the deal?

Yep i also got 5 pic messages free.....I also got a text from some strange bloke even though I havn't given the number out yet - hope I dont have a re-used number if thats at all possible
I've had a couple of porn texts already and some calls from random numbers. I asusme it is a reused number but won't bother me as shall port my number over in 2 weeks time. (assume i can';t do it before 12 months up on old phone contract)

Try 020 8896 5000 - that's the number that called me.

I cancelled my Orange contract last week - and now I've got this T-Mobile contact. Do you know if it is too late for me to get my number ported?
i got an email telling me they are looking into the T&Cs of mobileRainbow as they are different to theirs...well duh of course they would be different.

Are they hoping MobileRainbow and the others will have ended there deals by then or is it so they can re-write the price match policy? :D

Well they called back and said they would now honour the deal - but only this once - huh ?
Anyway, lets see if it turns up ...
my Nokia 6280 turned up today
It is not in the original box and it says it is a refurb, but it looks brand new to me.
The original deal they said they would match was for a refurb phone aswell
Nice Phone, 400 mins, 250 texts, some other stuff, all free for 12 months via cash back, Top Deal. Thanks!

Yes,sorry, it appears that the deal is no longer available, infact it appears they may have stopped all price matches?
Got in early, and at the right time it seems.
Many thanks to the original poster . Received a new boxed Nokia 6111 yesterday , complete with Flext 35 sim - all for the grand total of £11.67 per month over full 18 month contract. Price match was with mobile rainbow over a week ago for 12months free line rental

Now it seems that CPW aren't doing the price match on the Motorola V3 anymore, does anybody have any experience of dealing with Mobile Rainbow, as they're still offering the deal? Or are they not worth the risk?
managed to get my price match today :)
L7 on relax 35 arrives 12 months free with cash back.

i asked for a match on the w800i from themobileoutlet but it was turned down on the basis that the CPW had no stock of it. However when i asked about the same phone on o2 rather than orange they had stock but i worked out i would be better to take the one from The Link (http://www.thedvdforums.com/jump2.php?url=http://tracker.tradedoubler.com/click?p=1470&a=60823&g=35293)

Have CPW stopped price matching altogether or is it just with this offer.

they emailed me to say that that the w800i on orange from themobileoutlet they wouldnt match due to not having stock however i enquired about the the link deal for the w800i on o2 he didnt say they wouldnt match it or didnt have stock only that i would need to submit a new form.
I think they are being picky on which they want to match now.
For those of use who got the Relax 35 deal (500 mins, 200 txts)
Do these mins or texts include things like using GPRS or WAP to access the internet. Or for MMS texts?
Just to confirm my reciept does indeed say 12month free. nd looknig at the booklet it seems we send away for our cashback within 60 days of our 4th, 8th, and 12th airtime bills - Can anyone confirm I've got thsi right.
Thanks,
Sean
Nokia 6021 arrived today - on Relax 34 deal - happy with this - thanks to OP
My receipt does state 12 months free
On T mobile during the first month only - you will get 5 free MMS.
Does anyone know if I dial 150 and speak to customer services - does this use my inclusive free minutes ? - I am on the reflex 35 plan.
Would be interested in replies to this -

No it's free to call customer services from a T-mobile phone as long as you use the 150 number.

My money's on you issuing 2 Small Claims actions before the contract expires. Only 2 mind, because they'll go under after month 8.

for Dave Matcalf
I have ordered 2 Motorola Relax 35 deals from Mobile Rainbow last week. They called back that Credit Check is Ok and they'll dispatch the phone soon...it seems ok to me as I spoke to them and they said that they are in the market for 5 years also their customer services number is 0800...and they are contactable till 8 - 9pm nearly everyday. So it should be ok as long as you follow their rules in terms of sending cashback vouchers on time with original bills....rest is your choice as I wanted to order and CPW never comes backs to me even after calling them 4 times and leaving notes on their web site..
cheers
Do a search for MR using google and you'll find info including a few horror stories. I was thinking of ordering from them but I think I'll keep my money. Not sure if this will help anyone but a friend who works for CPW told me that I could call some of the other more reputable mobile phone e-tailers out there to see if they will price match the MR offers. If I get a chance will call around tonight.
Hope that helps

anyone who's on T Mobile with their new Flex T tarriffs - is there an easy way to find out your 'balance'?
I'm on the Relax 35. I can call 150 then option 1,1,2 I think and its tells me my remaining mins. Dont know if your Flex T tarrif is similar.

phone seems so-so. can;t add words to predictive text as far as i can tell. not used it yet to make calls, just text. and it doesn't ask you to comfirm send text or save to draft, which i'm used to, could save many drunk related texts.
i prefer my LG phone but change is good and the contract is to good to give up. but i could use the sim in my nokia 3510 i suppose and sell the RZAR, not going to use many featuires of it.

i dont think the relax 35 tarriff is a good deal. The '3' deals are much better IMHO. Talk and Text 700 for the same price and mobile rainbow have plenty of 12 month free

Well i wouldn't say 500 free mins and 200 texts for zero costs is a BAD deal. the 700 talk and text is pretty good, at 450 mins and 250 texts - or even the talk and text 1100 - 600 mins and 400 texts. but i am already on 3, and couldn't be hassled to port my number over to a sim and then back to 3.
carphone should match for the LG8300 as they do it on 3 :)

are carphone warehouse matching anything? I have put in several requests. If not are there any good reliable deals around
I just phoned them on the number someone kindly posted on the last page of this thread - they said they're not matching anymore and when asked when they'd start again they had no idea....
I`m not sure if this is really true or whether they were just fobbing me off...

I received my 2 Motorola RAZR v3 (one for misses) from mobile rainbow yesterday and they also confirmed delivery 2 days before dispatch.
I called and asked for Cash Back vouchers which weren't in the special delivery pack and they said it will come by post after 14 days (company policy).
The phones were boxed and sealed (T-mobile) and I took relax 35 which is good value for money and also checked my allowance by calling 150 and then 1,1,3 or 4 option.
Sa far they seemed ok to me and whenever I have any questions, I call their Customer Services which is a free phone number 0800....and they are open till 9 pm UK time nearly everyday. So fingers crossed. I would recommend people to go for it if CPW doesn't call or price match anymore and that's what I have done.
cheers

Sony Ericsson D750i
With U-Fix 50
Handset £19.99
Monthly Charges £15
3 Months Free Insurance
Extra Information
Free 50 Minutes
Free 25 Texts
12 Months contract
No cashback to worry about trying to claim, CPW have the same plan, but the price of the handset is £99.99.
Also, i dont use my PAYG phone that much so I wanted the cheapest monthly tariff I could find.
Worth a try for an £80 saving?
P.S. how do you request a CPW price match?
Do you need to register with thier site first? Cos I cant find a form otherwise.
EDIT:
Found that http://www.t-mobile.co.uk/ (http://www.thedvdforums.com/jump2.php?url=http://valuemobiles.at/thedvdforums?) have the same deal and the phone is free.

For anyone else who agreed to the months free insurance from carphone warehouse..
I called to cancel it today after the documentation arrived, was very simple... merely told them the policy code from the documentation, confirmed my details, they asked why i wished to cancel it, and i told them it was because it was a free month and i didnt wish to keep it.. she said that was fine. Then for 20 seconds she told me the advantages of insurance as i had "an expensive popular phone which would be ripe for selling if it was stolen", but i said it was covered on my home insurance, to which she agreed. She then confirmed it had been cancelled and that was that. Altogether call lasted 3 minutes, and she confirmed there would be nothing to pay.
Not bad i suppose for a free months insurance, but not worth the hassle if you dont want to call back to cancel..

I got the price match from CPW.
CPW didnt sign me up for direct debit, and i went away on hols. Therefore my payment was late. Now it also turns out they are charging me £3 for not using DD.
Did anyone get signed up for DD?

No, no DD and yes, got the £3 charge on first bill. have now GOT a dd form and sent it back.
they also cut me off for not paying the first bill :( though i did not notice as i wasn't using it then.

I set up the DD after the 1st bill came through (paid it on the Switch card and set up the DD in the same call). Lo and behold, the 2nd bill arrives with "we will collect this by Direct Debit" on the front page, along with a "non DD charge" on page 2.
Err, no. Phoned them up, made them smell the coffee and take it off. :)
Not even close to my finest moment, which was on the previous 3 contract and they charged for 24 texts over the limit when it was only 23 over. (123-100=24???) It warmed my heart to see the 10p credit on the next bill... :D

I gave CPW all the details for a DD but come the first bill I had a call from T-Mobile asking why I hadn't paid. I explained I was surprised as I'd set up a DD. When I told him who the contract had been taken out with he did that "ahhhh" thing and said they were having lots of problems with CPW DDs. He arranged a new one for me and I paid the (late) first month there and then with a CC.

Me and the wife had the same hassle as well, after receiving the first months bills we rang through to set up the DD but for some reason they didn't bother setting up the wife's (mine was fine). When she received her second bill this month she rang them up and gave them a good shouting at. Seems to have worked :D They refunded the extra charges after having to speak to the organ grinder.

hi all,
im only a few weeks away from the end of an 18month contract with t-mobile and have been out of the loop for a while... i have a samsung d500 phone and am more than happy to get away from t-mobile..
this is what i need out of a new contract... any ideas?
- itemised billing sent through the post every month
- 150+ mins free every month
- 150+ texts free every month
- free answer phone
- 12 month contract
and pref a clamshell style phone.. im going for simple.. i like the v3 in black.. does anyone know the difference between the v3 and v3i?
any cashback type offers will be a bonus... any suggestions?
thanks all!
I had same problem with CPW not setting up DD even though at the time I have all my bank details - I chased this with Tmobile and got DD setup after noticing no DD setup - rang Tmobile and got it setup - got my 2nd bill and have been charged - I am gonne be on the phone this morning and give them a good talking to - cheeky swines. - Yes I agree CPW are poor at setting up DD or they must recieve comission for all payments Tmobile make for customers without DD.

Heads up, Ladies and Gentlemen... I've had my 4th airtime bill so that means it's time to get some cashback!
For those of us that ported a number across onto this contract, I think it would be prudent to include a copy of the first bill which shows the original number for the contract. That way CPW can't get "confused" and not cough up the cheque... ;)
Thanks Uncle Nick,
Do we just send off the 4th bill, and do you have the address at hand at all?.
