Thinking on ordering some Region 4 discs but aren`t sure if most are Region 2 compatible?
Can anyone help?
Thinking on getting some for DTS which Region 2 discs don`t have?
Cheers
if it doesn't say if it's dual coded on the etailers site try http://www.michaeldvd.com.au/
Yes, michaeldvd is, in my experience, always accurate.
Of course, you could always invest the £50 or so it would cost to get your player chipped (or, if a handset hack exists, hack it for nothing). Then, like 70%(?) of the rest of us, you wouldn't need to worry. And, with aussie prices as they are, you could quickly save the cost of chipping after only a few purchases, compared with UK prices for discs.
I tried a R4 dvd (The Dish I think) in my inlaws Wharfedale 750 to see if it would play a while ago and found it wouldn't so I would say not.

Yes, because one disc is statistically significant...
As previously mentioned, check the reviews done by the guys at http://www.michaeldvd.com.au/

I have eight aussie DVDs. Two of them would NOT play in a R2 only player. The rest would. Check michaeldvd, or get chipped.
