View Full Version : Sat Nav on my Sony Ericsson W810i
I recently upgraded my mobile phone to the new Sony Ericsson W810i, excellent little phone think its the dogs swingers!
Anyway, the other day someone told me that it is possible to use Sat Nav on this phone, and got me rather excited.
Is this true? and if so, how or what do I need to do/buy/get to make my phone Sat Nav enabled.
Many thanks to anyone who can assist me with this query.
Dont think so? :( Its not symbian or whatever they call it, thus can only have cack java apps (as far as I know)
Not positive, but pretty sure the w810i does not support Satnav. My k750i definitly doesn't. Phones like the N70 and the Nokia 7610 do

I was going to put Sat Nav on my MDA Vario e,g, TomTom Mobile 5 but when I thought about it that would cost £180 then I'd need a holder (£20+) and there would be the separate (power hungry) Bluetooth GPS unit.
And for around £220 you can get a TomTom One - all in one unit with it's own mount and a bigger screen.
Figured that putting it on the phone is a nice idea but possibly not the best option.

You can get sat nav on all those lines of phones, but it's pretty rubbish as you have to pay per month and it's all stored server side

Stuff like Wayfinder is what they're talking about. Mobile software + Bluetooth GPS = Satnav phone.
Don't be misguided by the retail price, alot of GPS stores are selling it much cheaper.
