NEW YORK (AP) - If Dr. Phil can dispense advice, why not Mr. T?
The TV Land network announced Tuesday that it will start "I Pity the Fool," a series where "The A-Team" star travels across the country dispensing inspiration and advice.
"The 't' stands for talking," he said in an interview with The Associated Press. "I'm going to talk it up. It's what I've been doing all my life."
The series starts in October. He'll offer help to people struggling with personal or professional problems.
"My show ain't no 'Dr. Phil,' with people sitting around crying," he said. "You're a fool - that's what's wrong with you. You're a fool if you don't take my advice."

Finally a replacement for the late, lamented 'I'm With Busey'!
If this is even half the show it sounds like it could be, then it'll be essential viewing.
Anyway, enough of this jibba jabba.

if he's travelling across the country will it be in a plane?

Excellent - usually don't like reality TV, but I'll follow the T anywhere :)
This sounds cool to me. Count me in.

Does this mean that Mr. T will also sing us songs about being kind to your mum? This could be ace.
Thanks for the doc heads up. I'll check that out.

"We are going to start filming Rocky VI soon, with me as Clubber Lang again, and we're also starting work right now on my new show - which is called I Pity The Fool.
"Unlike all the other reality programmes, it is going to be about helping people. We're not going to be eating worms or swapping wives.
"For example a lady might write to me saying she's having trouble at a car dealership, because she's the only female employee and the men are harassing her. So I'll go in and straighten things out.
"I learn about the situation, observe for a couple of days and then call the guys into a meeting and give them the Mr T rap - 'I tell you fools, you don't disrespect no lady. My mum is a lady.'"

Did anyone ever used to read Digitiser on C4 teletext? Every so often they had Mr T handing out advice, always ended though in telling people to stay away from his bins!

Oddly, I do remember that bit from Digitiser.
This sounds like an excellent idea for a show - could be like an American version of Trisha.

Excellent site, full of plenty of classic Digitiser moments! Oh how I miss the good ol' days :(
As to the reality show: Best. Idea. Ever.

Just got back from Florida today and caught the first episode of I pity The Fool, while I was there, Mr T gets called to a car dealership to try and pep up the flagging sales, quite funny really and he came and delivered his,
Mo"T"vation to the fools, hope it gets over here

Saw it the other day - simultaneously the worst and best TV show i've ever seen.
Worth it mainly for T as a used car salesman, and his post-commercial-break chat. Oh, and his "rap" at the end of the programme.
Anyway, back to bid'niz.

Oh man, Mr T digitizer. Ace stuff. Used to read that page years ago. Brilliant, surreal stuff. I recall they used to do awful jokes, which were quite funny because they were so deliberetly bad, ones featuring Batman and Robin for some reason. And there was the Chinless Man :D Cheers for the reminder.

The bad jokes were by the Man's Daddy, don't recall the chinless man though. I used to like Ring Sir!
I can see this Mr T show on Five US

Me and my mates used to find the square-headed Chewbacca who dispensed gaming cheats on teletext hilarious. Especially when they'd add "ruh" into the sentance so you'd know it was Chewbacca talking.
I never saw that teletext Mr T though! We'd have had a field day with that.

I always liked with Comments by Insencere Dave on the gaming news, all he ever said was "good luck" and "thats sure to be a huge success!"
Comedy gold!

Wow. Just watched the first episode. I never realised TV could be this great.
"YOU GONNA LOSE A DEAL OVER 35 DOLLARS? THAT'S CHUMP CHANGE!"
"CUT OUT ALL THIS JIBBA JABBA!"
 :notworthy

Laughed my head off, this was awesome. Had to watch the 35 dollar scene twice
Just watched the second ep - the silence after Mr T put out the punchline to his "biggest room in the house" line was hilarious

Yeah, almost a tumbleweed moment. Great little show, just watched the second ep and he jogs in (no mere arrival in a big car for Mr. T) sorts out the situation and jogs out. Awesome.
How old is he now?

There wasn't nearly enough "bid'niz" in the second episode for me....
I think this is my new favourite show. I'm loving it.
the second ep was like a cross between Dr Phil and the Littlest Hobo. Mr T jogs in, dispenses of some positive mentali-T, then jogs away having solved all of the family's problems.

It's on a channel called TV Land according to the weblink above, and TV.com (http://www.tv.com/i-pity-the-fool/show/58780/summary.html). Although, I think you'll find that most of the members here are using the magic of the internet to download the episodes.
I noticed that the TV Land page for this show lets you watch the entire 1st episode, but it looks like you have to be in the States to view it.
Just watched an episode over here in the States at the moment.
Hilarious. Mr T gets a fat slob out of his chair and watching TV 8 hours a day, and gets him taking his wife dancing and finishes with him putting the chair in question on a bonfire at the end. :D
Crazy telly.
"We've only sold a third, that rhymes with turd"
Eh its not letting me watch the videos now it did last night , i wached 2 epsiodes, teh car sales one and the lazy bloke

Love the way he gives a recap half way through, but shouts at the people who missed the first half. "Whatchoo doin' missin' the first half of my show, fool?"
You can't spell "success" without "T".
BTW its on every Wednesday night
Has this been pulled already can only find the first 2 eps ?
