toshiba dvd rom help needed

hi,

my standalone dvd player has packed up, so now i am going to have to finally use my dvd rom, but it is locked to region 2. does anyone know how i can go about switching regions?
i am using a toshiba sd-m1302, and am using power dvd player.
i remember when i first got the computer, i could switch regions a few times and then it stuck on region 2 :-(

anyone with any advise, please leave a post here or e-mail me .

http://www.firmware.fr.st/ and see if there is RPC-1 (region free) firmware for your drive, if there is you can flash your drive with the patch.

Then http://www.inmatrix.com/ and download DVDGenie to sort out windows for region free. Theres also an excellent FAQ there (faq.inmatrix.com) which should answer any other questions.
