View Full Version : Sky+ Queston
Ok, Im a complete Sky+ Newbie here so I appologise if this is a stupid question.
Is it posible to watch a program from the start that you are currently half way through recording?
I tried this the other day and the save corrupted, however im not sure if it was a one off or what.
any clues??

do you mean, for example, you set Sky+ to record The Simpsons because you are out, but with 10 minutes to go you arrive home, and want to watch it from the start whilst recording the last 10 minutes in the background?
if so, then yes you can ...

Yes - it is possible.
Don't know the solution to your problem, but watching a program from the start that is already recording is something I do regularly without any problems.
Hopefully it was a one off!

Replace "Simpsons" with "24" and thats exactly what I did. :)

Cheers, I will have a play around tonight to see if it was a one off, if not I'll be calling the engineer out, I only had the thing installed Thursday Morning.
What was the message (and fault number if you press info) given?
It appears to be a one off. I managed to view programs I was in the process of recording last night.
No Message was given, when I tried to play it the 1st time the animated icon appeared in the bottom left of the screen for a second or 2, then the screen froze ( left on for 30-45 seconds ), when I tried to view it again the minute offset was showing something like 71240mins, I set the offset to 0 mins again and tried to view with the screen freezing again. after that point the Sky+ box refused to show the "view" option, it just had delete and keep as options so I deleted it.

I do it all the time.
If there's something I want to watch I start watching 10-15 after it starts. That way I get to skip all the ad breaks

That's exactly why my other half does it as well.
