View Full Version : Adding a 2nd wireless router to an existing wireless set up?
We have a wireless router in the living room and all PC's in the house collect to it wirelessly.
Is it possible to stick another wireless router in my bedroom and have it serve my PC, 360 and PS2 via wired connections? Or will I need alternative equipment for this?

The wireless router would need to operate in 'bridge' mode. Not sure if this is possible with a router but you could use a cheap access point as a bridge and connect it to a switch.

you need an access point rather than a router tho some routers will do both. what make is your existing?
I currently have a Netgear DG834G I think. I guess I'll get looking for an access point and switch :)
you don't need a switch.. a hub will be fine. Some access points will have this built in. My neargear one however, does not.
Could someone recommend me a product, I've just been looking and I'm totally lost
