View Full Version : Denon amp problem
Just wired up my new Kef 'eggs' to my Denon 2802 :D , but...although the set-up screen shows the rear surrounds, when playing a dvd they 'disappear' and I don't get any sound from them :( Any ideas folks?
are the audio settings on the dvd player outputing dolby digital?
does the amp sat its receiving dolby digital?
how is the dvd player connected to the amp ?
jason
dvd player (Sony 725) is outputting DD, receiver is picking up the DD signal, dvd player is connected via co-ax digital cable for dvd setting and analogue leads for cd playback. Also, scart lead to TV for video.
BTW Jason, are you from the Enfield area??
no i am not from enfield!!
when you put the amp in speaker configuration and set the output levels do the rear speakers work then??
jason
Sorry about the Enfield bit m8! I thought you may have been the person who sold me the amp.
I think I might have sussed it actually, there's a button on the remote that puts the system into surround mode. I foolishly thought this would have been done automatically. When setting the output levels they all work fine, and in '5 channel' sim mode too, it wasn't working on DD or DTS.
Fingers crossed anyway, thanks for your time jason.
