View Full Version : What Software Should I Use to Author a DVD?

I have a bunch of .avi files I'd like to put onto a DVD with a basic menu.

Unfortunately I had a friend encode them into xvid and that seems to be giving me some trouble.

I've tried using Ulead DVD MovieFactory trial but it looks like it's going to take about 3 or 4 days to do the encode (no ****!!!) and that's on an Athlon 64 4000+ at 2,700MHz

Any other suggestions for DVD authoring software that I could try would be greatly appreciated.

Funnily enough it was this thread that got me thinking about the whole thing in the first place.

I didn't realise that divxtodvd could do multiple files and I created invidivual VOB files and was trying to author a DVD from those.

Just trying a multiple convert now, so thanks for that.

Splobber: Not sure what you mean ;)
