richer sounds have the sony strde875 for £295 i have read a good few reviews and havent been able to find a bad one really..
does anyone own one and shed any more light on it or prehaps suggest a comparison for the same money...i will be mostly using this for dvds and the occasional cd.

The Sony will be fine if you are predominantly interested in DVD's. The Marantz gives you Dolby Prologic II and allegedly better music playback, the Yamaha is apparently a good all rounder though I think it lacks DPLII. Ultimately, a listen will determine which you prefer...
