View Full Version : Wanadoo Livebox Help required (please)

Got the Livebox. Only connected to the one pc via the wireless connection.
Went through the install and setup, all fine.

Restarted the pc and now refusing to connect to the internet. Picks up the Wanadoo box fine but shows as "Waiting for IP address"
After a few restarts it sometimes eventually showed "Invalid IP" and still wont connect.

Only workaround Ive found so far is to go through the whole install process again but this gets lost again after a re-boot.

PC is set to obtain IP automatically as per Wanadoo's instructions.
Tried ringing them but the lovely helpful people tell me its a technical problem so I need to ring a premium rate (50p or so a minute) to speak to someone about this.

Can anyone else give me some advice as sure lots of you have a similar setup and I dont really want to have to go through a re-install every time I want to get on the net

Oh,
should add in case it matters that I have tried with both my firewall and virus scanner disabled but makes no difference

This got sorted.
In case anyone else has the same problem, thought I'd post what it was.

Apparently someone else locally also had a Livebox and my pc was getting crossed signals as it was picking up both. This is why it wasnt liking the IP address I was getting.
Had to plug in the livebox directly with the cable and set it up to use an alternate channel. Worked fine then (fingers crossed)
