Mummy Returns DTS problem

I'm having problems with the DTS soundtrack on The Mummy Returns, the sound drops out for a fraction of a second, enough to be noticeable, on average every 6/7 mins but more frequently during action sequences.

I've tried 2 different region 2 discs as well as the R4 disc and the same problem occurs.

I would suspect the hardware, Pioneer 717 and Digitheatre DTS connected by the coaxial cable supplied with the digitheatre however I've played other DTS discs including one of the Demo disks and have had no problems what so ever.

Any suggestions?

I had a problem like this with the DTS track on a few of my films and when I contacted Videologic the response I had is below. I have to contact them to get a new sub from them.
I get the problem on the Grinch and Die hard 2.
Maybe you have the same problem.

"It appears that you have one of a small batch of early DTS units that have a bug in the decoder silicon that causes dropouts on high-end bit stream signals. The DTS decoder can be found in the sub unit of the DTS system and this needs replacing."
