The criminally never released on DVD brilliant Channel 4 Alan Bleasdale series GBH was apparently slated for a release at last when discussed on the 'What TV are you hoping for on DVD' thread.
Wondering this afternoon how long there was left to wait, could not find it listed in Amazon but did find it when I checked Play.com:
Play.com (http://www.thedvdforums.com/jump2.php?url=http://playcom.at/thedvdforums?DURL=http://www.play.com/play247.asp?page=title&r=R2&title=857687&p=57&g=72&pa=sr)
June 12th as it happens but wait, what's this? I ask. Four selected episodes?  :help: :oh-hum: There should be either seven 90 mins or ten one hours. Without the full story its pointless!!
Also noted elsewhere that some are claiming the company supposedly bringing this release out don't know anything about it!
Us deprived GBH fans need answers!
This was a giant of a series. Hope it gets out soon.

This was brilliant drama, and shoudl still hold up well. Plus wierd scenes, but my fav. was the 'miners,' (?) or something taking revenge on Michael Murry's hard men.

Literally one the best TV series this country has ever produced, really deserves a DVD release.

I had a thought on the 'four selected episodes' thing and wondered if it was miss typed and should be four disks. By my workings out seven 90 min episodes would fit neatly onto four disks with some space for some nice extras.
Here's still hoping....
I forgot I still have all the episodes taped on vhs from the first showing, might have to take a rummage around in the loft.
Brilliant series.
I just checked up on this release and noticed that it is indeed a four-disc set. Also, listed under special features is "Audio commentary from Robert Lindsay, Michael Palin and commissioning editor Peter Ansorge".

Yes!!!! :D I'd have been happy with just the episodes I have to say but the news we get commentarys as well is simply stunning.
But what is with the crap cover art? The stylish GBH script as used in the opening titles and on the rare as hens teeth CD soundtrack is far far better!
Edit: Amazon (http://www.thedvdforums.com/jump2.php?url=http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B000F9REZU/thedvdforums-21) have it for £22 notes as well although their details are much vauger.
12th of June - And about ruddy time too!
Send it have now put the price up to £22.99 and acknowledged a mis-price at the £13.99 mark. I've had an email saying they will acknowledge the mis-price though. Top marks. Can't wait for this one.
WOW - un-beknown to me until today, not only is GBH finally out but also Jake's Progress and Melissa.
Individually and in box set form (http://www.thedvdforums.com/jump2.php?url=http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B000F5S25A/thedvdforums-21). Quite fabulous stuff.
Can anyone let me know what quality is like?
