Anyone else seen this yet? The whole Josh/Donna thing that had been building up (well, right up till series 6 where it got ignored), finally came back into life before the opening credits. But I can't help feeling a bit let down. They did salvage it a bit with the hotel key fiasco near the end, but I was a little disappointed. When WW first started, I was itching for them to get together. Now I'm really not that bothered.
Anyway, good to see Will has been turned into the comic relief, much better than the whiny miserable sod he was last series.
One thing that did nark me was that the Republican/Democrat thing seemed to be pretty fair in terms of how it was portrayed by the writers. Both sides had reasonable viewpoints, and Vinnick was made out to be a sympathetic character. Now it's turned into Star Wars and Vinnick is Vader, complete with evil music whenever he enters the room. A shame, as for the last half of last season and most of this one I was rooting for an interesting ending. Now it looks as if the writers are pitching the Democrats again. Unless they throw in a curveball right at the end, I can't see Vinnick winning.
Also interesting was the Kazakhstan plot. They may as well just call it "Iraq" and have done with it.
I guess Leo will be off soon too :(
