I'm having problems with the DTS soundtrack on The Mummy Returns, the sound drops out for a fraction of a second, enough to be noticeable, on average every 6/7 mins but more frequently during action sequences.

I've tried 2 different region 2 discs as well as the R4 disc and the same problem occurs.

I would suspect the hardware, Pioneer 717 and Digitheatre DTS connected by the coaxial cable supplied with the digitheatre however I've played other DTS discs including one of the Demo disks and have had no problems what so ever.

Any suggestions?

This would get more attention in the hardware forum - as this most certainly is a hardware issue, i've got it and i have no problem, sorry i couldn't be more helpful.

I think the best solution to your problem is to put the disc in its case, take the lid off your dust bin and drop it in and wait for the bin men to collect it and incinerate it. Thats what that stinking pile of poo of a film deserves IMHO.

Sorry, but what did this movie ever do to you? I've seen you post your anti-mummy comments several times now in varous threads, we all get that you don't like it ok? But you treat it with such venom, i wonder why? I would expect comments like this for a film like Salo or something, but to a run-of-the-mill actioner? Many people out there like it and i could name 100's of films out there that are far worse.
