I've recently sold my mX3's to a friend but have managed to lose the metal bar used at the rear when not biwiring......great.

He's ultimately going to get an amp to use for biwiring, but in the meantime I either need:

a) to source a replacement pair of jumper bars, or
b) to suss out an alternative - I know this can be done using a separate piece of speaker cable (making the connection with that rather than the supplied bar), but can anyone describe the bar to me, so I can try and replicate this temporarily using cable....

Help!

Either go direct to Tannoy or drop the guys at www.hifistore.co.uk a line, I'm sure they'll be able to get you some.

It shouldn't matter what it looks like, btw but here's mine from the R2s..

Why not bare more wire and connect the one cable to both relevent connectors on the back ot the speaker. Covering any exposure cable with electrical tape after??

I've sussed it now - interesting trying to talk a total novice through it on the end of a phone.

Thanks for the replies, particularly Baps (you drug-addled loon)
