see i thought charmed ended last year, there was an episode when the 3 sisters became other people.

but there does appear to be a new season on living. so no idea what happened and why they didn't end it at the end of the last season, did they think it was ending then?

I think it was a definite possibility that it could've ended last year (with the cloaking thing) but theWB ultimately decided otherwise.

Rose McGowan was interviewed by E! aaages ago saying it was done and that there would be no more after the current season.

Feb 10th Will Charmed Survive? "No." That was the simple heart-wrenching answer given by Rose McGowan when asked if there might be another season of the WB cult hit series. "My contract's done. Other contracts are done, so no. [Laughs] No. You know, the show's been on forever. It has achieved so many amazing milestones. It's the longest running female show in history. I really like this show but they've come to natural conclusions so often now, there's nothing really left to do. We're not really going to Wyatt and Chris all grown up now kicking demon butt.......
Still would have liked to have seen the return of Cole for a final season though.

They were expecting to be cancelled last year, and wrote and broadcast a finale, but then they unexpectedly got renewed.

so in effect this season was always going to be poor as they resolved it all (i thought) last season and wrapped things up so anything extra would just be a bit silly.

I clearly need to see ep 1 of this new season. Who is the new blonde girl?

Billie, she's a new student witch/charge of Paige's. Episode 1+2 explain who she is.

Played by Kaley Cuoco, who used to be in 8 Simple Rules.

this is one of those series that rubs salt in the wound as its complete trash and keeps running and running and running. While wonderful shows like Firefly, dark Angel and many more get cancelled.

Personally I can't believe I stuck with it as many years as I did even through the replacement sister years, shame on me.

Simple principle for sticking with it after replacement - Rose Mcgowan is lovely and Shannon Doherty is a moody moose. However, the stories really have been rubbish and the last season finale was a good ending.

I hate this show...Seriously from the start it's been absolute crap, I doubt anybody would have watched if it hadn't been for the eye candy on show, it's like a poor mans Buffy, hell of the very episodes I even saw a couple of them were pretty much direct rips of Buffy anyway.

Can't believe this show ran so long while other quality shows got cancelled :cuckoo:

I thought it was already known that Charmed would finish this season? I heard the same back in September/October time so when I read this on digitalspy a few days back I thought huh.

It was same with Alias, apparently there's widespread shock that it's been reduced from 22 to 17, I heard at the time of the season premier it was going to be 18 episodes.

Maybe I just read too many TV news sites which are all rumour and then turn out to be true....

bump up as they are showing the final season on channel 4 now (show on Sunday 4ish, repeat following Sat lunchtime)

just seen the first one, seems okay, but weird if they just say they are cousins of the charmed ones and just then lead their original lives. ah well.

Sure it used to be channel 5 thats showed it but now its on 4
