View Full Version : Die Hard 3...cuts?
Just watched the final disc in the R1 Boxset (the new 5 Star one) and was wondering what exactly was cut from it?
Read something about the elevator, but wasn't sure quite what was missing.....also, maybe a scene with a glass bottle, and the fight in the cargo hold between Bruce and the baddie (baddie fell over after the chain was pulled, next thing thing he was basically dead...seemed to miss out something here)?

Didnt think that the R1 version was cut. THe R2 version is cut to shreads.

The R1 is def uncut - the elevator scene was partially cut on R2.
R2 was cut to shreds so much that i took it back the same day i got it and demanded a refund. It was so badly cut that if you were watching it for the first time, some bits just didn't make sense. (Bruce in a bank, cut to; Bruce covered in blood under the bank.) R1 box set is awesome tho, the DTS intro for DH3 is my test bench for my system now.

Even at the cinema quite a bit was cut - as you said, Bruce in the elevator, the bit where the psycho woman stabs the security guard in the vault in considerably nastier in the US version, a few bits lof violence here and there. The R1 special ed is top notch!
I reckon that they'll have to change the menu system for DH2 when the box set comes out here in 2002 - watched it for the first time in the week and after Sept 11th came as quite a shock - A plane smashing through the control tower and exploding.:(
