:help: hi
looking for thi s camcorder:Sanyo Xacti VPC-HD1 High-Definition Camcorder (with 2GB SD Card)
[sanyo-hd1] cheapest i can find £532.99 this includes 2 gb sd card from onestop digital any one bought one of these for better price>?
thanks OneStop Digital (http://www.thedvdforums.com/jump2.php?url=http://www.onestop-digital.com/)
As it's such a new model, I doubt you'll find it any cheaper than that; OneStop Digital's price with the memory card is lower than it's being sold over here with just the camera. Give it a few months and a bit more competition it may come down in price. There are plans for a number of manufacturers to bring out solid state or hard disk based 'hi-def' camcorders; for example JVC are planning some new upgraded EVerio models and no doubt other manufacturers will follow. Unfortunately, the VPC-HD1 doesn't seem to be quite there yet as the footage I've seen does appear rather variable. It appears that in order to make it nominally 'hi-def' they've had to take quite a few compression compromises.

thanks robert ..., however im using fuji s7000 digi camera at present it excellent picture quality how ever it has movie mode of around 90 second slots and was looking to replace it with something that is more practical to carry and with added benefit of 30+ minutes of digital recording and the option to take foto's and is very compact unlike the slr digi ?
