Best value laptop for £300?

Lookin to buy two laptops, with about £300 each to spend.

found the dell one on there site at the mo for £339 delivered.

but wondering if there was any better deals.

min spec 1.5 ghz, 256mb ram (512 pref), wireless built in, cd-rw w/ dvd, 40gb hd, decent battery life.

dell do any discount if i buy two? plus 60 quid delivery is a bit steep, any way of gettin rid of it?

I've heard the £299 one in the newspaper doesn't include the built-in wifi the £339 version has...

just seen the advert it does have wifi.

just been told on the phone, the one in the advert doesn't have wifi, or the dvd writter.

anyone help me get some more money off this laptop.

definately says in the express it has a 8X dvd writer. Buy a usb wifi adapter, about £15.

nah needs to be internal im fed up of havin usb ones on my current laptop.
