View Full Version : Create a photo slide?
Hi i have no idea of how to do this,i remember as a kid my dad having slides,
so what i wondered is there anywhere or anyone that still does them, with new digital images??I know you can get inkjet transparencies(sp) but i wouldnt think the quality would be that good.
Thanks

Why not just use a projector from a computer?
Edit: I think that some of the new-fangled slide projectors include memory card slots. Could be wrong though.
Thanks, but what im looking at doing is creating lots of the small slides like you used to get,but with images from a digital camera,i have a really large window and i would like to stick them to it to create another image,im just wondering if anyone still processes images into slides.
Thanks

Interesting. Don't know if anyone will print them for you. I wonder what sort of results you would get if you printed directly on to acetate? Used to do that with presentations to use on an overhead projector in the days before portable projectors were commonplace (feel old now :( )
The term is "slide imaging", often performed by university print/illustration departments for presentations/conferences. Here are a couple of commercial sites - it's not cheap!
http://www.metroimaging.co.uk/prices/digitalservices_prices.asp £6.50 per slide
http://www.business-presentations.co.uk/imaging.htm £10 per slide

   my life...thats expensive, maybe ill go the transparency route then.i need loads  any ideas how these would turn out quality wise,i remember when my wife was at uni and she used them before powerpoint came along, not photos mind.
it might be cheaper to get a 2nd hand or cheapo compact 35mm film camera and some slide film (http://www.thedvdforums.com/jump2.php?url=http://www.awin1.com/awclick.php?mid=530&gid=6083&id=30372&p=http://www.7dayshop.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=777_1&products_id=6168) and go and reshoot :)
