View Full Version : Help....?
Ok....I have a pioneer dv 515....i think...:D
and a strdv1070 receiver.
I am skint...having just brought my first house..
As a result I brought some of those cheap Bush speakers as avaiable in Safeway.
However I cannot connect it to my dvd player....as I only have 2 outputs for the left and 2 for the right! :(
Can the speaker set be set up via the receiver?
HELP!
:)
There are speaker outputs on the back of the amp/receiver Connect your speakers to those and connect your dvd player to the receiver inputs using phono cables from the two outputs on the back you mentioned.
Edit Just had a thought I think you're DVD player may well have a coaxial or optical output..if so then this is the best way to connect it to your amp/receiver
http://www.laserdiscarchive.co.uk/dv-515.htm
but will this be ok....?
the speakers have jacks on them that connect to the back of the sub...?
Connect your DVD player via the optical or coaxial lead to your amp,use the pre-outs on your amp(6 phono connections front left/right.centre.and rear left/right.sub.)to connect to your speakers.

Yeah what ABC said, hook it up to the receiver pre outs - one for each channel. But why on earth have you done money on that budget crap? If you can't afford a decent front three now, you should of waited. In other words you might have just ****** the #60 up the wall for all the enjoyment your gonna get out oif those. :p
By the time you get to use your 1070 properly it'll be obsolete and in the bargain bins for #200 nicker. :D
Scuse spelling dodgy keyboard...

I thought the Bush speakers were a stand alone system, a la digitheatre? In which case you have 2 amps...
I hope I'm wrong...

Yeah it is an amplified sub/sat system, but it needs a decoder a la Digitheatre LC, which is why the pre-out route is suggested.
God knows why rst bought them...
