this may well have been posted before, but the search tool is diabled and there are over 1300 threads on this board. so im just not goin' down that road!

hello.
i was stupid enough to buy a DVD player that ,as far as i know, doesnt have any hacks for it. i have seen mention of the macmaster/buster and would like to know if any of you have used this device. if so is the picture really unaffected or can you tell that the macro signal is still present to some/any degree. does it depend on the film/vcr you use or not. can i record from DVD to vcr in RGB of must i use composite output from the DVD????

thanks if you can help on any/all of these, no doubt, tiresom questions. :)

Maybe if you say what player you have then someone will know of a way to MOD it for you.

ok its a grundig gdv230. now ill just sit back and await the massive amount replys,yeah,right!!!

this machine was developed by the US goverment to avoid all known types of detection. this player is invisible to the naked eye and has aspecial stealth mode to avoid all known hacks and mods, AND rockers. even its ceators deny its existance. there have been reports that this player is "operating" in afghanistan with US special forces, but you didn't hear it from, ok!!!

seriously, i bought a turkey and thats it. i'm just gonna have to be strong and work through it,sniff,sniff....no.....its ...ok ill be........ fine. why......WHY ME?

do you want a multi region hack or to remove macrovision?

have you tried the grundig hack (http://www.dvd.reviewer.co.uk/info/multiregion/hackable.asp?Page=5) for other players?

There's three links there as well to places that flog it. :D

well its a bitch you see as the hacks require buttons not featured on my remote: shuffle??? wtf is shuffle? sounds rude to me! there is no NEXT button or STEP button

i would like to make it region free and de- macro it!

yeah,i have. i just need to get some REAL reviews about the thing before i spend any cash. obviously it'd be better to dis-able the loc-out features, but like i say , this is one elusive player!

I have the Sonel cable -and it does the job. They even replaced it after it became faulty.
