I am stunned.
This morning I had a Wharfedale M5 from tescos. I thought that some of my DVDs were just bad transfers, Goodfellas, Alan Partridge and Magnolia particularly.
I decided to take it back to Tescos for a refund (just say it doesn't work, they do not ask questions) the order a new Pioneer DV444 from http://www.avland.co.uk/pioneer/dv444/
The quality improvement is amazing. My disks are now watchable whereas before these 'dodgy' ones looked rubbish.
I advise anybody who has spent 150 quid on a Wharfedale to spend just 50 quid more on one of these or similar players.
You will not regret the change.
