Need Help On Poor Sound From Tv??

I received my 32 widescreen mitsubishi tv on monday, Finally got round to connecting it today and the tv has really poor sound. I am using a very good scart lead connecting direct to sky digital even my 14 inch mono tv gives better sound!! I am sure something is wrong, phoned powerhouse up and they are going to send a engineer around to check it out on friday.
It cost me 500 pounds and I know it is on the cheap side but still should give ok sound. Any advice or experience on this particular tv?

Have you gone into the menu settings and adjusting bass, treble etc?

Might be worth a try?

Is it poor through DVD/VCR etc or just the sky?

It is poor through the lot-especially dialogue!! I wish id pay extra for a better tv now!!
