Just the 1 question.

My Using RGB makes a world of difference on my old Sony TV, so I need to know for sure if this DVD player definatly does have RBG outputs via it's Scart Connector.

Many thanks

Yes it definately does :)

There is a button on the remote that toggles the output between composite video, RGB , and a third which makes my TV go all funny (Its YCrCB according to the manual).
There is another button to toggle from PAL (PAL50), NTSC , and Auto.

YCrCB? Is the elusive and mythical component video via scart connection that i've soemtimes wondered about?

Anyone know for sure what YCrCB means?

Y is the luminance component (black & white, if you like)
Cb and Cr are the blue and red colour difference signals (Cb is B-Y, Cr is R-Y).

RGB, for example, is "made" by adding signals together:

Y+Cr (i.e. Y+R-Y) gives R
-(Y+Cb+Cr) (i.e. Y-B-R) gives G
Y+Cb (i.e. Y+B-Y) gives B
