Matrix 2 Disc is out !

Seen the Matrix 2 Disc Collectors Edition out tonight in ASDA for £19.97. Not a bad price, but isnt it a week early :)

Good price as well - however, we all know that The Matrix is better either Region1 or Region 4.

Probably cheaper from Austrailia as well.

Side track here for a sec: Why is R1 or 4 better than 2? I just got R4 to replace my knackered (from new :() R1 copy. Got R4 at a good price (forgot about this 2 disc version :rolleyes: ) but why is it better than R2?

I think (though not entirely sure) that the R4 and R1 are both uncut, and hence have the commentaries as well (the reason I heard that the commentary was ommited from R2 was because teh R2 was cut and so the commentary was out of sync). Best bet is to get a R4 due to the fact that it is in PAL and is probably a lot cheaper than the R1

Is the R2 "Matrix Revisited" disc the same as the R1 and R4 version? Surely there is nothing to cut in the documentary...?

I can remember looking at the case and seeing no commentaries. The disc has copyright 1999 and is a clear disc, so I can say that this disc looks to be the same disc just re-issued.

The only scene that i can remember cut is the bit when Keanu escapes the pod and the liquid runs into a camber occuied by a small child. Prettry gross really. Dont know of any more

There's also about 8 headbutts cut from the R2 version :(

Will the 2 disc set be available in aust, and will it be amaray? Basically, I tyhink R4 will be the best as as far as I know the r4 and r1 are identical and are the best, the extras disc is the same on all regions, r4 has amaray (doe sit? i'm not sure) and it;s the cheapest! If it comes out, that is?

I have R2 Matrix and something keeps bugging me I have watched this film on Sky and the other day when I was watching my DVD at the bit where Neo is talking with Cipher when Cipher is watching the code scrolling on the screens late one night I can SWEAR BLIND that I remember Cipher saying something along the lines of " I don't even see the code anymore it's Blonde brunette redhead.."

But this was not shown on my DVD :confused: so must have been when I saw it on Sky!

I can see no reason for this to be cut and although it doesn't spoil the film in anyway I wondered if anyone had noticed this and knows why???

What versions (regions) do Sky show??

Or am I just losing my mind???????

Umm.... I think you are losing your mind :)

The scene you refer to is definitely on the R2 DVD. (He says something like, "I don't even see the code anymore. All I see is blonde, brunette, redhead...")
