Has anyone else experienced this? I read about it on Gamespot after I'd got the game, but before I had played it. I thought "na, it won't happen to me"...

You know the one? The bug where it erases your saved data in the game? I unlocked a few costumes and a character and the next time I turned the game on they were all gone! It did this a few times so I took it back to Gamestation and swapped it for another copy, and this one did the same! Disgusting that they let this game out. Still what do you want for £44.99.

Really took the shine off my 360 seeing as I can never own the game, unless I'm happy with never unlocking anything. :oh-hum:

That's for the live problems. I can't believe the size of that thread and noone else has had this problem. I know it's not just me as it's mentioned at Gamespot, IGN, and many other sites. Temco even issued an appology apparently.

I thought it was just the USA version, I suffered with the problem so sold mine on ebay before the UK release...

No Uk too dave. Shame, because after being initially frustrated by the game I was just starting to warm to it. Looked stunning too. Going to swap it for Kameo tomorrow, I may pick DOA4 up agaim in a year or two when hopefully they will have sorted it out.

Haven't got it myself but I remember reading something about this on a blog... Apparently it's not a problem with the data saving, but is normally caused by powering on the 360 with the game disc already inserted. Try starting the 360 to the dashboard and then inserting the game disc (obviously you have to do this every time!!). I've read that this sorts the problem but as I say I don't have DOA4 so can't comment as to whether this works or not.

I've been powering up with the game in the drive since I got it (release day) and haven't had any problems yet (fingers crossed), well, except for being unable to change my flag, I change it but it always seems to switch back to the USA flag!

Yeah from what I've read it does seem to be a sporadic thing, but AFAIK the data has never been lost if someone boots up to the dashboard first.

I've only ever booted up to the dashboard first as I've always been fussy about making sure my games are always in they're boxes when not in use. Didn't stop the problem for me. :(

Has the problem only been found on premium systems? If I got a memory card and saved DOA 4 to that do we think that would sort it?

If anyone finds out could they post here? Cheers:)
