Thanks!!
N70, or wait for the N90/91. I'm waiting to check out the E61, but that's a little more specialist

should of put some more info in, i'm currently with Orange and have been for a while now. On x 200 min , with 500 text message free a month.
Currently have a 6230i , which i also have the Nokia CK-7W car kit installed in the car, so would like it to be compatible to that, obviosuly i would have to buy the pop port for it.
Pop port connector would be required if you want charging and full cradle, otherwise its just bluetooth so would work anyway for voice use?

Yep full cradle please !
That N71 looks pretty good. How good/flexible is the Symbian OS?

Between the N70, and the 6270, which is the better phone?

I got a 6680 a few weeks back. Great phone, dodgy battery though although maybe thats just mine.
N80's the one I'm waiting for. A little on the heavy side but in a small form factor, with hi-res screen and Wi-Fi to boot! Hopefully some enterprising company releases a VoIP app for it...

Have you considered getting a Sony Ericsson?
I generally only get Nokias but the w900 looks fantastic.
I have a w800 and it's great, comes with a 512mb memory card. There are loads of good deals on the w800 at the moment.
Nokia N70 is the best phone I've ever had. I have had before: nokia 3330, 3650, 7610, Siemens S600(?) and Samsung D500.
I have played with many SE phones and just keep coming back to Nokia - best UI, best build (re. durability, I realise some are plastic chunks of rubbish), best everything, and the N70 is the new daddy.
go for it.

I'm waiting for the Nokia 6280. Have wanted a flip/slide phone for a while but Nokia have yet to produced a decent one, looking at the reviews this one should be different.
i see the 6270 is now available on the O2 Online (http://www.thedvdforums.com/jump2.php?url=http://www.tkqlhce.com/click-582776-10309950) website... i'm very tempted! thing is though, it only has 9mb internal memory, and i can't see any reference to using mini sd cards or other memory on the website... surely not?
I think the 6270 and 6280 are very similar but the 6280 is 3G and has miniSD Cards, so might be worth waiting a few weeks.

says here (http://www.thedvdforums.com/jump2.php?url=http://www.tkqlhce.com/click-582776-10309950?url=http://shop.o2.co.uk/affiliates/o2uk/jsp/handset/SelectHandset.do?pageMode=null¶mName=&prodID=affiliate%3ANOK%3A6270%3AGROUP&x=11&y=7) that it takes miniSD but no reference on nokia website as to which it supports.
EDIT: found it. nokia says miniSD

Looking for a new Nokia myself but got scammed into a new contract on Orange thanks to the "10% your bill" offer they are running, so can't get any decent upgrades or move to another contract.
So I've been looking at ebay for sim-free or Orange locked phones... would anyone advise this route? I'm somewhat suspect of the mobile market on ebay, thinking that the majority are probably scams or knock-off goods :suspect:
you might be better waiting for one to come up on the classifieds here, i personally wouldn't use ebay for a high value phone, aside from the scams there's too much chance of receiving a phone that someone has sold and for it to be blocked by the service provider a couple of months down the line when the seller claims the "lost" phone off their phone insurance
