Problem with AOL!

I have a friend who is using AOL. He bought a domain name and hosting so he could use a professional email address for his business.

However, when he input his pop3 and smtp detials aol are syaing they will not allow email to work as they use IMAP instead of pop3.

Can I ask why AOL only use IMAP?

Can I cancel with AOL as I know a company that uses pop3 and are a better company than AOL.

I set him up on microsoft outlook, but it hangs up saying AOL has blocked the email becasue it is unsoliciated bulk mail. It was only an email to test the service!

Any advice will be appricated.

His problem is simple: He is using AOL :p

Seriously, why do ppl use that pile of crap company? The best thing you or your mate can do is to immediately cancel the deal with AOL and sign up with a proper company.
