According to the Scottish Sun 'The Who' are to headline one of the days at this years T in the park. Not the best source I know but since they said they would be playing a few shows this Summer this could well be true.

If this is true I can't get my ticket fast enough!

Weekend tix are £82 (handy for me as I live 8 miles away :))

Weekend + camping are £97

These are before all the service charges, handling charges, stapling charges, licking the envelope charges and posting the envelope charges ticketmaster lumps on.

Altough Ticketmaster do say that tickets go on sale tomorrow (Tuesday) at 9am?

Was really hoping that there would be a pre-sale today like last year. Looking very unlikely now :(.

Oh and Franz Ferdinand have been added to the Saturday bill.

Same here was on a refreshing page queue for half hour which kept assuring me I was 15 minutes away. Weeking camping seems to be unavailable now.

I ended up with two single tickets from way ahead (all gone now).
I originally was in with a chance just before 9 but i opened another window to see if it would go any faster which meant the site wouldn't let me buy the original tickets.
Paid about £30 more for the two but at least I don't have to bother about getting them now.

Take your pick on Ebay (http://tickets.search.ebay.co.uk/t-in-the-park_Tickets-Travel_W0QQcatrefZC11QQfromZR8QQfsooZ1QQfsopZ1QQsacatZ11730), there are around 600 listings.

If you have 600-odd quid to spare, that is. :|

I'm hoping for a lot of decent small bands.
Amongst the bigger bands I'll watch KT (who's almost certain to be playing) and The Magic Numbers (who have also been asked).

the highest on ebat is going for £8,000.00 wow what an investment, getting 20 tickets for about £2,000 would buy you a house...

robbing gits, i really wanted to go as well.

Given there's no Glasto this year, it was bound to happen. I bought my two last year, but it looks like I may have to choose between T and a holiday... With the prices on Ebay as they are, the damn things could pay for the trip!

Yeah same here, nothing really exciting me at all given the names so far, tho as I used to be a bit of a dance-head I'll probably watch a bit of Felix da Housecat and hoping that Laurent Garnier gets asked to DJ this year

Wouldn't mind seeing the Go! Team one more time as well

All of my mates got weekend camping tickets no problems at all

for the peeps that were disappointed, keep an eye on t in the park's irish counterpart, oxegen http://www.oxegen.ie
very often the lineups are largely similar, just swapped over the days (a la leeds/reading)

might be a bit less swamped for tickets

They must have held some tickets back (like they do every year). They said they sold 40,000 on friday and 20,000 the day after last year's event. I'm sure the capacity is something like 75,000 so I reckon they will release 15,000 nearer the time.

The King Tut's Tent on Saturday 8th July will also see the debut performance of Damian Marley at the artist's and audience's favourite festival."

Belle & Sebastian & The Charlatans are the latest names to be added to the bill.

From tinthepark.com:
Please note, due to unforeseen travel difficulties, Belle and Sebastian are now no longer able to perform at T in the Park.

Turns out Belle and Sepbastian aren't going to make it, 4 months is just too short notice for them!

Bump for those just arriving home.

Only saw bits 'n' pieces on BBC's coverage - which was pretty decent of what I saw. Press the red button and you could access two other feeds.

Go! Team were the best of what I saw, though audience seemed to enjoy the Who, Magic Numbers, Kasabian. Didn't catch anything by Arctic M's - first main stage at a UK festival I believe?

Pentasa
10-07-2006, 10:45
The Go! Team were very good as usual I was right down the front as well :D, tho slightly shaded by Coldcut who were just amazing, I also enjoyed Kasabian I think they played about 8 new songs

Best Bits for me were all on the Sunday (the sun coming out helped too)

Worst bits has to be the new security measures, you had to get your ticked scanned 4 times on the way in and show your wristband so I seemed to take an age to get in, so I ended up missing Wolfmother

Wow just got back. Very last minute but somehow my mate got hospitality tickets on wednesday.

I was at the front for Go! Team as well :D

Sigur Ros were amazing in the Pet Sounds Tent probably my fave from the weekend, although Primal Scream were pretty close.

Go! Team were absolutely stunning - was looking forward to the Primal Scream set the most, and even though they played one of their best sets I've seen, the Go! Team topped them. Was near the front & was surprised how empty the tent was at the start for the Go! Team.
Didn't know what to expect from them but was blown away by Ninja's stage presence and the energy they all had - one of the most enjoyable and uplifting gigs I've ever been to - makes me really mad that I couldn't get tickets for them at the Barrowlands earlier in the year.
Bounced around non-stop for the whole hour they were on & was absolutely knackered when the Scream came on
