View Full Version : Video connections on amp
My Home Cinema Amp has svideo in/out connection on it what are these for.
This confuses a lot of people.
You can connect the video signals from your DVD player, digibox, or video to your amplifier and connect the video output of the amp to your tv. That way, when you switch the amp between inputs, the picture will automatically follow. There are also on-screen graphics on some amps, which make changing the settings easier.
Most people don't bother for a number of reasons. You're restricted to S-video, no RGB. You have to buy more cables. It's unnecersary in most cases.
It's quite a popular connection method in the states where TVs generally only have one s-video input.
Thanks, think ill stick with standard setup then.
