When do new titles come into the chart? And heck, is there any hope of them even stocking 'We Love Katamari' anyway?

Thanks got Season 4 of 24 Free today, priced as £19.99 (take off 20% £15.92 in total). But came up as the checkout at £20.97 when it went through the checkout and if Tesco overcharge you no matter how little they will give you a full refund and let you keep the item.

I bought it along with Alien Quad and the discount is shown together on the receipt so did a quick calculation to work out the price after discount, obviously Tesco rounded down, which I suppose they have to.

Extra fraction of a penny saved :D

they must have sussed the 24 mislabel as our store had it sussed. did manage to pick up a chart cd for free though because the discount did not apply at checkout. was refunded the full original amount as well instead of minus the 20% discount as well

I'm such an idiot! :brickwall
I got it for the lower price (by going to customer services I paid £15.97 as it was labelled at £19.97 but charging at £20.97) instead of letting it go through the till and then pointing out that I'd been 'overcharged'! Damn! I knew about the price promise thing too but I never ever remember it when it could bag me an outstanding bargain!
Still the price I paid is the lowest I've found but for free would've been sweeter!

Ok, cheers, is it only the EXTRA stores that do 360 games, or any decent sized Tesco's.

I'm aware I could spend more in Petrol than I save!

Thanks to the OP! Just picked up this:

Chronicles of Narnia (4 disc set) (http://www.thedvdforums.com/jump2.php?url=http://tracker.tradedoubler.com/pan/TrackerServlet?p=898&a=60823&g=19972&url=http://www.tesco.com/entertainment/product.aspx?R=659604&bci=6|DVD)

For half the price on the Tesco web site (it's marked up as £16 in-store, so roughly £13 at the checkout).

I did this once before, too, although it only cost me £4.50. A few months ago I was overcharged on the two for £18 offer and got both free, having remembered their policy.

For those who don't seem to be getting the right discount, I thought I had missed out today when I got the new Strokes album and it went through the till at full price, but the discount is listed at the bottom of the receipt, not taken off immediately. I'd suggest that anyone who thinks that they might have been overcharged check this first, before going to customer services, or they might be wasting their time!

That's a little too bad, but you will get another one. There's a thread over at MSE that someone done that listed her shopping items from Tesco and Sainburys. Tesco had overcharged her on 7/8 items and Sainsburys only once. So always check prices of the SEL and make note if you can and then check your receipt afterwards. Tesco are making loads of money from these overcharges and most people don't bother checking you receipt after you paid. I did'nt at first but always do now and have had a few misprices since.

Yes, I know you have (As I offered you £30 for it)

Just have a problem paying £34 for something that's been played with when you can get it brand new and sealed for £31.99 in Tesco at the moment (Hence my offer of £30) :)

Just a shame my Local brance is out of stock. :(

Picked up Quake IV for the princely sum of £31.99......they had S1,2 and 4 of 24..all mis-priced in comparison to the prices on the shelves.

Didn't realise that Tesco offered refunds if they mucked up the price charged...thought that was Asda?

Went to Brooklands yesterday to get COD2, but no stock and the same for all the £40 priced games.

Seems like this isn't much of a bargain if they only sell a few at the reduced price, and then don't have enough stock to cover the demand. I doubt any of their Extra stores had more than 3 or 4 of each of the games in stock. So 20% off chart games is just a mechanism to entice people to shop at Tesco's.

MetalGearAl

Sounds like the Chart CDs + DVDs are better, especially if they're as competitive as other supermarkets on those prices.

Matt.......

Just to let you know, I popped into my Tesco again this evening in the vain hope they had restocked a bit (though suspecting they are holding them all back and magically re-stocking after the offer finishes!)

Went up the Computer games isle and YES, one copy of COD2 on the shelf, so I've got it

However, if you have already got me a copy (as I requested) I will of course, still honour my request and buy it off you.
