perfect blue any good?

i want to own a decent manga film on dvd, people say perfect blue is good but can you guyz confirm it or reccomend any others apart from ghost in a shell and akria

This all depends on what sort of Anime you like. Perfect Blue is an excellent and extremely disturbing thriller in the style of Hitchcock or Dario Argento. It deals with madness, confusion of identity and obsession. The UK DVD release is uncut and offers an OK dub and the original Japanese track.

As for the others available in the UK - I like Urusei Yatsura, but that's much less action packed. You can always try the Ninja Scroll DVD. Princess Mononoke is an absolute gem, although the dubtitles make the R1 version more attractive, even if R2 comes with a book......

Otherwise, look to Japan. Graveyard For Fireflies, Kiki's, Totoro and so on are all available - at a price......
